    That is kind of what I am doing just eating enough until the first burp. Then I am done. I don't use a straw but do drink diet soda occasionally.
    The hospital in Mexico didn't tell me anything at all... Kind of sucks.
    The first visit I had with my new doctor in Chicago did give me a list of things I can and can't eat. He told me a lot of protein first, then the veggies and some softer fruits after that.
    He said no milk, yogurt or protein drinks, just the bars that the liquid goes right through.

    Hi Judy,
    In regards to the amount I am eating, now that is all I can eat in one sitting. I do not force it, I only eat what I can and my body does tell me (yes burping for me to) when to stop. I also will feel some discomfort and I know that I am done, if I push it past that point it won't end well. I am not hungry now between my meals, but I do have a snack in the afternoon more due to my insulin levels than hunger ( I am a diabetic). Were you given a list of dos and don'ts when you had the band? I can send you some if didn't. The most important two is never use a straw and never drink carbonated beverages. There is a lot of contradiction on the last especially, but how it was explained to me was the gas buildup can stretch your band and/or cause pain. I don't want to take the chance, so I don't.

    Thanks Judy for your comments and liking my art. I am blessed! With you as my new friend and that we can enjoy our art. I am sure you do wonderfully! Wow a trip to Vegas to paint, I wish! You will have to tell me all about it.
    Sorry to hear of your problems with the band. Did you have a leak? Or did the DR not do what he was supposed to? I am happy you foudn a Dr who will help you out now closer to home.
    We are supposed to eat 1-1 1/2 cups of food 3-4 times a day and that is it. Protien first, then veggies and then other carbs ( no breads etc). It gets easier as we go and once you have a stuck episode, you don't want to do it again.
    You are doing great my friend! Keep at it. Your bike ride sounds fantastic and every day? That is terrific!! WTG!!!
    I still have a ways to go with my weight loss, losing inches and not so many pounds right now , but i will.

    Hi Judy!
    Thanks for calling me little (wink)! Also for the great message on my sparkpage. I have tried all kinds of art and my favorite is Oil painting (fine art). I have a website if you are interested. I need to update it very soon. It is also on facebook if you do that too.
    I have seen scratchboard and that is gorgeous. Are you working on one now?
    I started out in acrylic more tole style painting and then progressed to watercolors and then oils. I now do all original works of my own.
    I love it. I do some teaching too.
