I am building up my energy, it's getting better all the time! I'm working to keep going because letting tiredness get you down only leads to more fatigue! One thing I have learned is that when I stay with an active routine, I feel better in many ways! I don't ever want to be too tired to play with my daughter!
A Healthy and nutritious eating plan: I'm trying my best to eat "clean" and organic, fresh food. Now that I'm used to that, many packaged things taste awful to me now! Things I used to like! Shopping at Farmers' Markets is great in so many ways. The fruit and vegetables are fresher, and I'm supporting local farmers. I also like knowing where my food really comes from. The vendors are very open about their farming practices as well!
Spiritually I am working towards loving myself and embracing the feminine curves any Goddess is entitled to! I also want to find time to meditate and channel my inner calm. It's got to be there somewhere! Yoga had always helped me with that, and I'm looking to fit that back into my routine.
I'd love to meet fitness buddies along the way and cheer each other on! Taking care of our bodies doesn't have to be a private thing. We all have strategies and products we love to share about!
For exercise I've been mixing it up with jazz dance, hip-hop, and walking/running to try and keep exercising interesting. I also do toning with free weights, a body bar, floorwork, etc. I don't do well with weight machines; they tend to bulk me up.
Sometimes power-shopping is good exercise, or so I tell myself! I enjoy fashion as a vice and it makes a great reward for a job well done!
Some of my "I Am", "I can" statements I wrote for a program I'm working on through The Show It Love Workout, by Kacy Duke:
I am strong, I can exercise several times a week.
I am creative, I can cook food that is pleasurable and healthy.
I am hardworking, I can reward myself with feel-good indulgences.
I am talented, I can continue to grow in dance.
I have strong legs, I can walk, run, and dance.
I am caring, I can support others on their journeys.

My Goals:
1. Organize meal planning by shopping for all I need for home made, healthy meals on the weekend, using the cookbooks, and having everything on hand so there's no excuses for the quick-fix stuff (which is usually crap!)
2. Try new flavors in food.
3. Exercise at least 5 days a week, but be active daily.
4. Continue taking dance classes and working towards improvement in skill and flexibility.
5. Eat 90% or more natural/whole/clean foods
6. Stay in better contact with friends/loved ones
My Program:
Cardio: Walking/running with the jogging stroller, dancing, DDR, bellydance
Toning: stretches at jazz dance class, yoga, toning exercises from magazines, hoping to find a new belly dance class.
Mind/Body: Yoga, meditation, Goddess studies
Personal Information:
A busy mom and teacher in California, trying to fit my fitness program in with the challenge of accomodating my daughter's needs, time with hubby, and teaching obligations.
Other Information:
I enjoy meeting Spark buddies and cheering each other on! I enjoy chatting about dance, bellydance, fashion, shopping, and even mom stuff. I also love watching hockey and am an L.A. Kings fan, (though it's rough these days!) Baseball is awesome too, Go Dodgers!

Ok gf! I am going to be reminding you! ;-)
I went out this morning and rode my bike. It felt good to be out in the sunshine with a slight breeze hitting my skin.
I so don't know if I was ever meant to be a vegetarian! *lol* I am thinking I need to change my game plan! *lmao*

Hi Lori!
Your daughter is just lovely. You look great as well. How have things been going? I always ask Jen about you when we talk.
I am going to school to get my teaching credential ... when I finally get a job I may pick your brain in order to get through that first year.
I hope to talk to you soon. Keep up the good work!
