What's going on fellow Sparkers? LOL. Chances are you've stumbled across this page as I have so many others hoping to find a spot to be embraced and encouraged on your weight loss/fitness journey. I am a twenty-one (soon to be twenty-two 11/27) year old young woman from NYC. I have a beautiful little girl who is my everything!

I've been a big girl for as long as I can remember but it always seemed okay because it never got in the way of me having friends and a social life. Anyway the older I got it seems the bigger I got and I found that I was getting tired of being the "big pretty one". At this point more than it just being for my own peace of mind and comfort I have to lose weight for better health. My labor was induced because in my eighth month of pregnancy I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure) which did not go away even after my daughter had been delivered. At 22, there is no reason for me to take high blood pressure meds or feel like I do on some days because of all the extra weight I'm hauling around. So it's my time to be about it and not just talk a good one...because at the end of the day no one can do me like I can do me!!

My Goals:
Ultimately I want to lead a healthier lifestyle. I don't want this to be a temporary fix, well into my 30's, 40's, and 50's I want to be giving my body the love and care that it needs by eating the right foods and working out consistently. In regards to weight-loss by subjective numbers, LOL my goal is to be 145lbs. That may change as I go along if I reach a point at which I'm satisfied but until I'm working towards 10% losses. As far as exercise I want to reach a point where I work out regularly 5-6 times a week doing cardio and weights. It seems a little far fetched now but someday I would like to participate in a triathalon.

Goal 1-224lbs
Goal 2-202lbs
Goal 3-182lbs
Goal 4-175lbs
Goal 5-165lbs
Goal 6-155lbs

My Program:
Currently I'm still trying to figure that out. I've never been a consious eater. I eat what I want however much of it I want. That's the behavior I'm trying to correct. I know for a fact that I don't intend to deny myself anything besides soda/fast food. The impluse to go overboard with it is why I want to wean myself COMPLETELY. I still have some kinks to iron out but for now I'm taking the common sense approach. Less junk, more activity.
