When I was in college the "Freshman 15" became the "University 45." I was very chunky for being 5'1". I decided that needed to change. Using SparkPeople, I have lost 30 pounds. I am healthier and I feel better. I have managed to maintain the weight loss for the most part with no significant weight gain. I am still working on making everything an easy habit, and would like to lose a few more pounds.

My Program:
I am trying very hard to get a regular exercise routine. I have started running. I've done several 5Ks but now I want to step it up and train for something bigger. The plan is a regular running routine and add in some strength training and cross training. No excuses, just do it. I am also trying to cut out the junk and eat healthier, more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, etc.

My name is Rachel, I'm 30 and I'm in the Douglas/Paulding area. I'm just shy of 5'1". I'm married. I have a beautiful German Shepherd/Husky named Captain and a white German shepherd named Yuki. I love the out doors. I tend to be shy at first but I love meeting new people and warm up to them quickly. I like to sing and be creative. I don't like negativity or the incorrect use of the words your and you're. Bleh!

    So if you do not have the energy to complete a run, take some walk breaks and see if that helps. If it doesn't, your body is probably telling you that you need a rest day.
