I'm a 44 year old working mom with 3 beautiful, active boys. I've been struggling with gaining and losing the same 6-15 pounds for the last several years. My exercise program has been an off and on thing which does not help. I really want to lose 12-15 pounds and keep it off permanently. Like so many other working moms, finding time to squeeze in exercise and good meal planning is a heady challenge. But I press on...

I tend to snack a lot & the food tracker is key for me to have awareness of what I'm doing. It helps me take responsibility for my what I'm putting in my mouth and puts the power of choice back in my hands.

Another challenge is....not exercising, but exercising consistently and pushing myself to the next level. I've tended to go in cycles of going hard, then doing nothing.

My fitness activity of choice is running. I never ran nor ever thought I could run until my late 20s. It helped me lose the baby weight from 3 pregnancies and is a kind of meditation/stress reliever for me.

Wow, I did not read your comment on my page until after I emailed you. We really do have a lot in common. I have chill bumps because my husband and I do not meet many people where we live that are into reading metaphysical books (even sadder just into reading for the sake of reading). I am going to google the book you are reading. I cannot believe my husband does not have either of those books in our vast library of books that he collects from used bookstores and Amazon. Lord I swear we literally have books in almost every room of our house. I laugh because I think my whole family will overdose on books. I do love that my two youngest boys love to read. My oldest is slowly coming around. Like a typical boy he likes reading about sports. Well as long as he is reading I cannot complain. Books truly can transform the way you think if you open your mind.

I am so glad to make your acquaintance. Thanks again for your encouragement. Maybe you will talk me into running a marathon one day. You keep up the good work!
