You won''t fail if you never try, but more importantly, you would never know if you would''ve SUCCEEDED. I stumbled upon this site and I am very excited that I did. I have been overweight my whole life but over the past 2 years I manage to gain 20lbs setting me at an all time high of 240lbs. I pretend to be happy about myself but deep inside I am very insecure and rely on others telling me that I am beautiful, to accept it. I look forward to this journey and I am glad I have my new found SparkFriends to accompany me. 3 Nov 2011 I''ve lost 20lbs with SP but regained 5lbs. I have not given up. Instead I''ve decided to start over. My current weight is 225lbs and I am aiming for 180lbs by 3 Sept 2012. 21 Mar 2012 From the beginning of this year I really refocussed and got on track. They''ve been some ups and downs but I am seeing it through. My current weight is 206.8lbs and I''m really seeing the changes in my body and the way clothes are fitting. So far, I''ve lost 33lbs with SP. This is great motivation. 24 Dec 2012 I am down to 194, 46lbs from where I started. Its the end of another good year and I''m looking forward to finishing in 2013, what I started in 2011. 19 Apr 2015 26 February, I gave birth to my son. I am now back up to 230lbs and ready to get back to work. I need to get healthy for me, for my son, for my family. I AM NOT A QUITTER!! I AM A LOSER!!!!! 23 Jul 2016 I have been working feverishly AGAINST myself. Doing all the things I know I shouldn't... And now... I'm so far away from my goal. Tired, frustrated, disappointed. I need to refocus. 29 September 2016 Since I had my son a year and a half ago, I've had so many day 1s it's frustrating but I am still not giving up. It's time I become the mother... the woman that I said I'd be.

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, but don't let it overwhelm you. Just take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

    1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

    2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
