Hey fellow sparkers!
Welcome to my page. We are all in this together and like most of you, I have been struggling with my weight for quite a while.
I am tired of being overweight and feeling pathetic when I try on clothes. After the birth of my daughter I realized how much need to change in my lifestyle. Fast food for more meals than I want to think about, complete laziness, and late night drinking. I'm throwing bad habits and thinking into the trash and starting fresh!

My Goals:

1. Be the best role model I can be for Elaina.

2. Get fit and wear smaller clothes than I wore in High School! :P

3. Allow more "me" time for myself (and my husband).

4. Make healthy choices at every oportunity!

5. Learn new recipes for delicious and healthy food.

6. Get at least 8 hours sleep and wake up before my daughter to exercise.

I'm using the TurboFire for cardio and strength. I also run occasionally.

My name is Valerie. I am married and have one beautiful daughter. We live in Olympia, Washington and love it!

Other Information:
I'm a big geek! I'm into fantasy books, movies or anything. I enjoy dressing up and going to Renaissance Faires. ( I hope to lose a couple for dress sizes before my next one! I'll post pictures!) A few years back, my husband got me sucked into the video game World of Warcraft, which didn't help my weight. I still enjoy the game occasionally, but now I'd rather exercise for an hour than play my Undead Priest. (I told you I was a geek!)

    I love Chalean Extreme so far. I am in the first week of Push Phase and it is pretty awesome. My first 30 day results weren't extreme by no means, lost 1.5 pounds and 3 1/4 inches, but I can see major muscle defintion in my arms and back, so it's working. I'll probably see a better difference this Circuit. I love that the workouts are only 40-50 minutes.

    I also have a problem with what to eat when and how much. That is my biggest problem. I am gluten intolerant, can't eat meat and have all but given up processed foods. So I am trying to retrain my body and make sure I am getting enough calories, carbs, fats & proteins to not only fuel my body, but to help me lose weight. This is my struggle, but I learn by mistakes - it's trial and error.

    Hi there! I am concentrating on doing Chalean Extreme as I only got halfway through lean phase last time but I did lose over 30lbs with it so I trust it for a second attempt! I also do Turbo jam but I only have Cardio Party on dvd as they are not so easy to get hold of here in the U.K. I prefer american workout dvds on the whole as here they are mainly celebrity based and not so great on instruction. Hope to read more of your interesting blogs! Thanks! emoticon emoticon
