Hi. My name is Melissa. I have been married for 15 wonderful years to my husband Brad and we have four beautiful daughters: Kathryn (age 12), Bethany (age 9), Annalise (age 4) and Sariah (age 1). We live in a farming community in Missouri. My husband works for the local power company and I am a stay at home mom who homeschools and I do medical transcription out of my home. I never get more than 6 hours of sleep a night, but I wouldn't trade my crazy wonderful life for any other.

I came here to help keep myself on the right track. A couple of years ago I lost 115 pounds going from 270 to 155, but then I got pregnant and lost control. I ate whatever I wanted and became sedentary. Now that my youngest is almost one I got on the scale this morning and was mortified at what I saw. I have gained back ALL the weight down to the very pound and have to start over. I know I can lose the weight. I did it before and I can do it again. I hope this site can help me chart my progress and stay inspired to keep on the right track.

My Goals:
To make wise food choices.

To be the wife and mother God intends for me to be.

To lose an average of two pounds per week until my 16th wedding anniversary, 07/11/13. I have exactly enough time to reach my goal weight by then if I can accomplish consistent weight loss. My husband would be so excited!

My Program:
Eating 1500 to 1800 calories a day
(still breastfeeding full time)
