Getting it right this time!


After years of yo-yo dieting I have decided enough is enough & I must get fitter & healthier & consequently lighter!!!!
I am a retired premature baby nursing sister & I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes & I need to prevent the myriad of complications that can arise from it.

My weight initially increased during several years in which I suffered long periods of depression due to work pressures, which fortunately are in the past now since I retired. They were very difficult times but I had a fantastic support from my husband Tim & our wonderful daughter Charlotte.
So now I am in a very positive frame of mind & am wanting to get slimmer for good.

Fitness Minutes: 11,755

My Goals:
Feel more comfortable doing everyday chores.

Prevent complications from type 2 diabetes.

Be able to shop in "normal" clothes shops.

Reward my self with treats at every half stone (7lbs) milestone.




My Program:
 5 sessions per week of;
Zumba.
Kettlenetics.
Aerobics.
Rowing machine.
Ski Glider.
Walking with Scarlett.
I vary my workouts each day.


Personal Information:
Married for 33yrs to Tim my gorgeous (long suffering LOL) husband & live in North East England.

Other Information:
 Just love US country music!!! Was lucky enough to see Tim McGraw & Jason Aldean in Salt Lake City. Alan Jackson next on the list!
Love crafts, reading & travelling. Been to the US several times, also Canada, Jordan, Israel, Portugal, Greece, Italy.Would love to visit India & South America when I am fitter & healthier!

    It has been a while since I have seen any activity from you so i am checking to see if you are O'K and are still on board with SP, Would love to hear what you are up to exiting holidays and stuff. Not too much going on in my life,at
    the moment there is a bit of a heat wave here in Vancouver, I am not a great
    fan of heat so am looking forward to Sun/Mon when the temp will drop back to something more liveable, in the meantime my fur baby and I are trying
    to keep cool, got a tip from my next door friend give a dog a couple of ice cubes to crunch on helps cool them down. It works!!

    Thanks for you comment on my page. I think your advice to change my routine some to suprise my muscles is a good one. Today I'm biking and doing some strength training, since I have mostly just been walking.

    Thanks for the add. I just love that Spark has members all over the world...and here is jolly ole England :) I was the BIGGEST Beatle freak ever. Ringo was My man and I spent a lot of time daydreaming of being his wife when i was the ripe age of 12. So, back in the day, when I was questionably sane, my dream for my first big excursion was to Liverpool. Big sigghhhh....to be young and stupid again. So HELLO from across the planet and best of luck as we travel this road together!
