I have been a Spark member since my son was born and I needed to get the baby weight off. I have come and gone over the years, and my reasons for being back on Spark don't change a lot - to feel good, physically and mentally, to be fit, and to be a good example for my son. Here I am again. This time is a little different. I'm stepping up my game. I would have never guessed at 20 that at 40 I would be as competitve a runner as I am. Running has always been fitness and stress release, but having a strong running, cycling, and tri community here has helped push me a little and realize some PR's I never would have guessed at. So this time, Spark is going to help me eat and train like an elite, so I can qualify for Boston, and move on to Ultra distances!

My Goals:
Qualify for the Boston Marathon (only need to drop 15 min)
Run a 3:30 Marathon. Then run a 3 hour Marathon - what's the point of dreaming if you don't dream big?
Run a 50 then a 100 miler - Prepare for my bucket list race - BFC

My Program:
Due to too many recent computer mishaps I'm down to a very slow laptop or my work computer. It was taking me an entire day to map out my meal plans and then grocery list, but I have figured out that 3 or 4 days worth of meals created into "Groups" in the meal tracker making laying out a day or a week a breeze. So meal planning and tracking is still the biggest part of this journey. Training is in the early stages for my DC marathon in March - the goal of a 3:30 is definitely pushing me out the door on those days I don't want to do tempo.
