Want to get healthier, lose as much as I can. I quit smoking, I can do this too! Not setting a big amount to lose, just 10 lbs at a time.

I am a breast cancer survivor, in May 2012 it will be 2 yrs since my mastectomy (right side only) Walked in the local Relay For Life last year with my oldest daughter, and then SHE walked back in Nov 2011 in the Susan Komen 3 day 60 mi walk, what an accomplishment, so proud of her!

Have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren, adore them all! I am single, not a widow but 3 times divorced, am not lonely though, keep much too busy for that. Have a 87 yr old mother that I helped to care for (although she still lived alone) up til Dec 2011, when she broke her hip, rehab followed and it was decided that she needed to be in someplace where she would be safer, last year was several falls, hospital stays for other health issues, just too much for me to keep up with. Love her dearly and did not want her to get hurt again!

Fitness Minutes: 30

My Goals:
Beginning at the weight of 220 lbs at the first day of 2012, would like to just lose however much I can. Not gonna stress over trying to lose a HUGE amount, just bits at a time. After 12 days I have lost 6 lbs, hurrah for me!

Here it is, into March and I have lost a total of 16 lbs since Jan 1st.

Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.

First of all, I am drinking LOTS of water, all day long, everywhere I go I have a bottle with me! Am doing the "plate" thing and getting all my servings of fruit and veggies, almost zero sweets, I just don't buy them!
And of course, exercising daily, have missed very few days, have used circuit training mostly and am steadily increasing time with each one, my enery and endurance has improved so much!
