    Welcome NO EXCUSES Workout Team!!!

    How was your holiday? Frankly, I don't care if you consumed enough chocolate bars this week to fund retirement for the Easter Bunny in Cancun.

    We are officially starting over, beginning NOW.

    Today, Sunday, we are beginning our new Workout Team!! No Excuses!! (Since I changed the day at the last minute, you may report in on Monday if you wish.)

    You are not behind. Just jump in where you are!

    We don't need to exercise today, we can just report on what we are going to do this week (more to follow).

    This Team is intentionally small. Welcome to our members:

    This group is small so we can get to know and support each other on a different level than the big groups.

    As women we tend to take care of everything else and we ourselves are usually last on the list. We can change this.

    Although I may resemble a drill-sergeant type of leader, I really do care about each and every one of you & your progress. I am going to track you like a flea on a hound dog.

    Objective:

    The objective for this group is to work out at least 10 minutes per day on the days we planned, No Excuses!!

    By honoring the commitment we've made to ourselves, we are going to stop telling ourselves we are too tired or do not have enough time.

    You can do anything for 10 minutes.

    You may have other goals for yourself, but for the group this is the minimum requirement on the days you have committed yourself.

    When we have scheduling conflicts we can find ways to make it work. The fact is, we could even exercise our buns while standing in line at the grocery store!

    The point is, we are not going to make any more excuses. I'd love to hear the really good ones we try to sell ourselves! (At some point I may hold a "What's-Your-Best-Excuse" contest!!)

    We'll find a lot more ways to fit exercise into our day if we are open to the opportunities.

    For example, we've all heard this before, but if we have to work late, we could go up and down the stairs in the building.

    Another example, if we are exhausted at the end of the day we can go to bed earlier and get up earlier. This may make us somewhat uncomfortable, but if we are willing to do the work, we can change our bodies and change our lives.

    We want to be reasonable and are going for consistency here, not perfection.

    You can do this!

    Procedure:

    1. On Sunday, members simply post on my page when you are going to work out during the week to come. This may take some effort if you are not used to planning your workouts ahead of time.

    2. The following Sunday, members simply post if you met or exceeded your goal you set for yourself the week before.

    Those who met their goal get 1 gold star for the week.
    Those who exceed their goal get 2 gold stars for the week!

    Those who meet or exceed all of their goals for 1 month get a 'Team Trophy'. I will post this progress on my page Mondays.

    I'll be posting my up coming schedule for the week on my page on Sunday if you want to see an example. I'm looking forward to seeing you there!

    Together, we can do this!!
