Thailand Nov 2014 - Feeling very uncomfortable in my own skin

This needs to change, very uncomfortable at this weight and I hate pics right now (10/14)

I felt huge here, realized this is what I look like and how everyone else sees me.

I have been working on weight loss for over 30 years. What I need to be working on is Optimal Health!

I don't want this to continue. I do have health struggles, but I know what they are. I am doing all I can to manage them and luckily, I am not on medication like the rest of my family. But...

Being this heavy is not healthy. It is not where I want to be.

I am coming up on my 40th birthday and don't want to be at the weight and BMI I am at. My goal is to lose 100 lbs by then, I am already down about a third of that. I have about 7.5 months to lose about 70 pounds. I know it is possible. About 10 pounds a month is not crazy and I know what I need to do.

I am DONE being on this track, it's time to do something different!

"'When I feel frantic, my mind races and I can't focus enough to get things done. How can I slow down?' "Enlist the help of the humble rubber band. Just slide one around your wrist and snap it; the sting will instantly interrupt the flow of your runaway thoughts. Then picture yourself shouting, "Stop!" -- this will sharply focus your attention, says Martha Davis, Ph.D., an author of The Relaxation & Stress Reduction Workbook. And last, take a deep breath while letting your belly expand, pause, then exhale for a count of one; repeat nine times. "The measured breathing calms you down," says Davis, "so you can tackle one thing at a time."

Are you interested in a Challenge?

The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge. To get to the Challenge go to my page and click on the Blue Biggest Loser Icon, copy and paste the link below, or let me know and I can send you an invite. Join the Team then sign up on the waitlist. It’s the thread right below the Frosted Fitness Fun Chit Thread.
