In May 2009 I was in a size 12 and weighed 172 lbs. In the spring time I discovered walking and just from that little exercise I dropped 10lbs within a month or so. I felt great and was so proud of myself that I decided to work on my eating habits, so I started a food diary andI also added a little more exercise into my routine. To my surprise by August I was down to a size 8. All I did is walk and do hand weights for 30 minutes a night.

By October I was down to a size 6 and 144lbs. Starting in January 2010, I decided to do the Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred DVD and decided to really incorporate healthy eating habits into my lifestyle.

As of August 2010, I was still 144lbs working out like crazy, eating 1200 calories a day and nothing happened, just toned up! I was still sitting at a long 8 month plateau but then I found Sparks!

I joined Sparks in August 2010, and I lost those pesky 7lbs. As of today I weigh 137lbs, give or take a pound here and there, but I have been able to squeeze into a size 4. I never took pills, never went below 1200 calories, just did it the old fashion way exercise and watching what I am eating! I sleep great, feel great and is so happy! I was so proud of myself that I started "Getting in Shape 2010" group on Facebook. I love the group because it keeps me motivated and I just wanted to help others. Your thinking well why did I join Spark People, since you were almost to your goal? I did that to keep me on track and keep me accountable. A person can't have to much support. I look forward to meeting you and reading your stories!

To keep the weight off and to tone up and live happy and healthy!!

My Program:
To follow Sparks recommendations!

1. Track calories - 1600 - 1900 a day.

2. Cardio a min of 30 min a day 5-6 days a week.

3. Strength Train 2 - 3 days a week! Do crunches every night before bed.

4. Drink 8 cups of water a day.

5. Be happy and Healthy! Thats' all it takes!

I'm just a happy person and is so happy to find Sparks! Since joining I managed to break my plateau and I lost 7lbs, that have been hanging around for almost a year!! Thank you Sparks for putting me on the right track! Who would of known that eating more, I would lose weight?
