Gracious Father, you have said in your word that if anyone lacks wisdom, all they need to do is ask and you will give them wisdom liberally and without reproach (James 1:5). I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus asking for wisdom to take care of myself so that I may glorify you in my body and my spirit (1 Corinthians 6:20). Give me the desire to choose foods that bring energy and vitality to my body and clarity to my mind. Give me enthusiasm to exercise so that I may strengthen my body and have the energy to do the things I need to do. Perform a miraculous healing in my life concerning my desire to lose weight cause I feel like I''m spiraling out of control Lord. As I strive to do this Lord, please bless all that is within me, for I am weak without you. Let me take it one day at a time and not worry about anything else but the cares of this day. Today is the day I commit & admit I can''t do this without you. Thank you Lord that nothing is impossible with you and that you can help take away my desire to overeat and fill the voids within me that cause me to seek food as a substitute. Lord, touch my mind right now, help me to see what causes me to overeat, give me a strong desire to want to take care of my body and see it as you do Lord. Help me to make the right food choices and touch my mind with creativity concerning food and what I eat. Bless me with divine health. Most of all, Lord, give me wisdom to put you first in my life because You have said that if I seek first your kingdom and all its righteousness, my needs will be taken care of. Thank you, Father, for giving me the gift of abundant wisdom today and for loving me enough to help me through this. I love you, Amen. Decide. Commit. Keep the faith! Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. (‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭5‬ NLT) "Many people give up when they don’t see immediate results. Results aren’t made in the microwave, they are made with time. And because we are human we don’t like that fact. We want things to happen on our time, not God’s. Perhaps our personal health & fitness journey is to remind us that God’s work takes time." Take action and remain faithful day in & day out to get results, it will pay off over time. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (‭James‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬ NIV) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ NLT) No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭11-12‬ NIV) So don’t sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it! (‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭12-13‬ MSG) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ NLT) Jesus did not just come into this world just to save us from our sins. He came to conquer death, destruction, disease, and any other foul thing the enemy would try to defeat us with. In His name, all oppression shall cease. There is power in the name of Jesus. As Jesus was dying on the cross, the wrath of God was poured out upon him. He became sin itself. When He arose and our enemy was defeated, Jesus gave us life abundantly. This means we don’t have to live a life overwhelmed by depression! Or any other thing on God''s green earth! There is healing from all disease in Christ Jesus! This means we are set free from any chains that would try to hold us down! If you need breakthrough in your life, call on the Name above every other name. Take hold of the promises Jesus has given you. Let the power of the cross wash over you and Jesus’ blood to cover you, setting you completely free. "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!" “Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” ~Mark Victor Hansen But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ) Your Pain Often Reveals God’s Purpose Your pain often reveals God’s purpose for you. God never wastes a hurt! If you’ve gone through a hurt, he wants you to help other people going through that same hurt. He wants you to share it. God can use the problems in your life to give you a ministry to others. In fact, the very thing you’re most ashamed of in your life and resent the most could become your greatest ministry in helping other people. Who can better help somebody going through a bankruptcy than somebody who went through a bankruptcy? Who can better help somebody struggling with an addiction than somebody who’s struggled with an addiction? Who can better help parents of a special needs child than parents who raised a special needs child? Who can better help somebody who’s lost a child than somebody who lost a child? The very thing you hate the most in your life is what God wants to use for good in your life. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1, verses 4 and 6, “God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things” (NLT). This is called redemptive suffering. Redemptive suffering is when you go through a problem or a pain for the benefit of others. This is what Jesus did. When Jesus died on the cross, he didn’t deserve to die. He went through that pain for your benefit so that you can be saved and go to Heaven. There are many different causes for the problems, pains, and suffering in your life. Sometimes the stuff that happens you bring on yourself. When you make stupid decisions, then it causes pain in your life. If you go out and overspend and buy things you can’t afford and presume on the future, and then you go deeply in debt and lose your house, you can’t say, “God, why did you let me lose my house?” You can’t blame God for your bad choices. But in some of your problems, you’re innocent. You’ve been hurt by the pain, stupidity, and sins of other people. And some of the pain in your life is for redemptive suffering. God often allows us to go through a problem so that we can then help others. All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭3-5‬ MSG) When we suffer for Jesus, it works out for your healing and salvation. If we are treated well, given a helping hand and encouraging word, that also works to your benefit, spurring you on, face forward, unflinching. Your hard times are also our hard times. When we see that you’re just as willing to endure the hard times as to enjoy the good times, we know you’re going to make it, no doubt about it. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭6-7‬ MSG)
