Hi Shazzbot! what a coinky-dink, getting a post about running! I think someone's trying to tell me something emoticon

You see, I haven't even logged into spark for 10 months or more, but just recently quit smoking again, and am looking for a team to join. Want something challenging and motivating, not just a chat team. Got any suggestions?

OK, running. First I got into shape doing cardio, then the ability to run came as a wonderful, marvelous surprise! Advice: good shoes, avoid steep hills at first. I run sometimes now with my dogs, but that doesn't really count, they stop too often to pee. More than anything else, I want to run all the time again, it is such a high!! Never could understand how come anyone could NOT like running.

Nice to meet you, thanks for the post!

Hey Shazzbot, I love those lines: "You like race cars. I like birds. You play with engines. I play with words."

I know what you mean about older siblings. I have a handful of those, who were long gone (out of the house) while I was a kid. I'm probably really only getting to know them in recent years, but they were mostly stories when I was growing up.

Yesterday was my most bummer of days, in terms of calorie counting. I had half of a small bag of Trail Mix in the movie theater (Cadillac Records). About 550 calories! Who'da thunk it? I think I'll transfer this to today's blog entry.

yesterday's song woulda been a kind of mellow tune, like Jack Johnson or something. My little one and I were on the road running errands.

I like this line by the way: "I'd have to use the most sorriest sounding, sad, lonely instruments in the world..." Forgive me for bypassing the actual emotion behind it, but I'm a word freak and this stood out for me.

Hope today is brighter for you!
