I am Shannon, a busy mom and wife, with full time job I love and a passion for reading, writing, photography and dreaming of going to Europe.

I have dabbled in writing and photography off and on for many years and have had mild success at it. But like many things in my life I start with a bang but end with a fizzle. Thus my intro is starting over yet again. (If you know where I get the quote from you will be my friend forever) I am starting over again on my life.

Whether it is losing weight, writing, photography or just feeling alive this time I am starting over and will finish with not only a bang, but a grand parade!

Fitness Minutes: 135

My Goals:
I want to be able to not feel like I am dying walking up stairs. I want to fit in my clothes again and even buy a nonplus size for the first time in 5 years. I want to feel sexy again.

My Program:
I am using low fat, low carb and low sugar diet. Making alot of stir fry style dinners, bean soups, lots of veggies and fruits. Increasing my water intake, decreasing my junk food, take out, soft drink by 95%. Exercise is coming next. I am trying to figure out how to add it into my already crazy day.

    Hey, Shannon! How are things going for you?
    I am stuck. It's been a month... I just feel extremely uninterested in the whole thing now. When I was eliminating weight, even if it was not as much as I hoped I still "pumped myself up", but now I just fell like: "Whatever" If I'm not going anywhere, might as well not work so hard at it!".
    Let's not give up, though! Better late than never! :)

    I highly recommend reading The Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno...changed my life. It really isn't a diet, but a new way of living. By looking at your program, you are already doing some of the things she suggests. It got me past my original goal weight!

    Your goals seem realistic, the methods you've listed seem soundly based in nutrition; you are on the right track! So glad you found SP and are now a member of the Class Team of Dec 23-29! I hope we can motivate, inspire and help one another jump all the inevitable hurdles as we work toward, reach and maintain our goals.

    The SP plan works! There is no easy way to lose and maintain, but the SP "diet stages" gently guide us toward a healthy lifestyle. Well-balanced nutrition, a definite plan, perseverance and patience will pay off. 'Bad habits' - often TINY ones that add up! - led us to become overweight. So what we need to do is beyond any 'diet' gimmick out there; we need to dump the old bad habits and begin to ENJOY healthier ones. The Class Team is here to give you support; Jenn, Christine and I are the co-leaders.

    Thinking positive thoughts and small steps (mini-goals!) eases the journey. Step by step, you CAN make it! As for the final goal? Ohhhh YES!!! You can do it!
