My Story:

A little over 4 years ago I never really cared about my health. I was a smoker, drank quite a bit, and ate whatever I felt like. When I decided to quit drinking and smoking at the same time, I was overwhelmed with cravings and turned to food for comfort. I allowed myself to eat whatever, whenever, and however much I wanted because ice cream is better than smoking and drinking right?! Well after two years I ballooned up to 183 lbs. I was also in a deep depression and had frequent anxiety. The doctors discovered I had hypothyroidism as well and that is when I decided I needed to start taking care of myself. A little over two years ago, I found a program called the Power Foods Lifestyle which taught me all about nutrition and fitness. I signed up for an 8 week challenge and went for about 3 weeks and totally gave up although I really liked the way I felt when I was eating healthy. A few month later I decided to start the 8 week challenge again and I actually completed it! I released 14 lbs and it gave me such a bolt of confidence that I wanted to continue, not to mention my energy levels were at an all time high. I had never felt so good in my entire life. I continued with the lifestyle and have lost a total of 40 pounds. I have recently started to lose my motivation and have been falling back into my old ways of eating. I feel like I am happy with how I look now so I don't "need" to eat healthy all of the time now. I know that is not a good way of thinking and I mostly just miss the control I had over what I eat and miss the way I felt so I am here for a new SPARK of encouragement and motivation! I love it so far!!!
