Hi I'm Samantha but my friends call me Sam or Sammie, feel free to call me whatever you want =) I joined SparkPeople back in 2009 and it was a huge help to me during deployments, but then I stopped coming on here and haven't been on in almost a year. So I decided to delete all my old blogs, goals, everything, so I can start over fresh & anew.

I'm really happy with where my life is right now. My husband and I recently got stationed in Virginia after living in Hawaii for a few years, it's a bit of an adjustment but so far so good. He's my high school sweetheart turned Marine and he's finally non deployable after three deployments in a four year span. I'm currently trying to find a job but the job market really does suck so it's been a bit of a struggle, but I'm sure I'll get one soon.

I really enjoy working out, my weeks mixed with strength training and running with my weekends doing extra fun things like biking or hiking. I'm still heavy but I'm in good shape, guess you can say I fall into that fat but fit category. I'm nowhere near my weight loss goal but I know it will happen one step, one pound, one inch at a time. The weight didn't come on overnight and it certainly won't come off overnight. But as long as I keep pushing forward then I'm closer & closer to my goals.
