MY SHAME: My joints feel like I'm 70 years old. Now, not only do my knees hurt but my hips hurt too. I get rude comments about my weight when I walk on the boardwalk with my family. I'm not proud of how I look in a swimsuit but yet I love to spend the day at the beach. I'm out of breath by the time I walk through the sand to get back to the car and have to take the ramp instead of the stairs back up to the parking lot. I have to pause before I step off a sidewalk curb because if I just walk off the curb, it will make my knees give out and I might fall. My children, now pre-teens, are overweight and starting to be teased about their weight. I've led my family into an addiction to fried food and sugar filled sweets. I'm ashamed of myself!

I want to go to the beach and feel good about how I look in a swimsuit. I don't want to wear "granny swimsuits". I want to shop in the regular size clothing again. I want to walk on the boardwalk and get looks, not because I'm "as big as a bus" but because I look good! I want to have the energy to ride my bike with my kids after I get off work. I want my daughter to be influenced by my healthy lifestyle and change her lifestyle with my help. I want my daughter to be proud of how she looks and not be teased because she's overweight. I want my son to care about his health, get off that computer and enjoy running and playing outside. I want to live to be as old as my granny lived. I don't want to die at 60 before I even get to retire because my choices were so devastating to my health. It's time to take control of my life again!

My Goals:
I want to Feel good, look good and be able to play hard!
I want to go to the beach without being self conscious of how I look in a swimsuit.
I want to quit having joint pain.
I want to go to my annual physical next year and not be told that I should be taking cholesterol medication.

My Program:
I am tracking my food intake and will stay between 1200 and 1500 calories per day. I will eat atleat 5 fruits and vegetables per day. I will start drinking some water instead of only coffee and diet soda.

Personal Information:
I live in Daytona Beach, FL. I am happily married (15 years) with 2 teenagers. I am a nurse.

Other Information:
I love to shoot my 12 gauge Mossberg and my little .22 semi-automatic. I love to fish and swim. I enjoy reading books and magazines and spending time with my two children.
