Working to lose weight- keep on track- be a little OCD about what I'm consuming...and be more mindful.

Watching what I'm eating and being a little OCD about it...

I plan to stick to a high fiber diet. I also want to decrease my sugar intake. Those are two lofty goals- so for now, I will start slowly and see where I go from here.

I also want to get in more cardio. I'm a fairly muscular person when I work's something I have had to accept. Not that being muscular is BAD, but I wish I could be lean, not bulky and it seems that's what I run into when I do strength training...

Personal Information:
After earning my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Ohio University, I recently relocated to the happenin' City of Brotherly Love! I am currently employed by the State of PA and work as a rehabilitation counselor. Helping people with disabilities gives me a sense of purpose knowing that ultimately, I'm helping others to help themselves.

I'm a certified and registered yoga teacher. It used to be a source of pride- being a big girl- but being just as flexible as the skinny minnies who are my peers...but, as expected, I find my weight and "extra flesh" around the middle, to be hindering. I want to get to a place where I'm comfortable wearing yoga clothes and if my shirt comes up a bit, my belly doesn't hang over :-p

Other Information:
I have issues with being patient with myself in losing weight...more than anything, I need support to stay on track...and reminded that Rome wasn't built in a day. :)
