An awesome day! We had such a great time, and I felt pretty good about myself.

I managed to get down to 155 for my wedding in 2005, and hovered between 155 and 150 with a few detours over the next few years. I lost my job recently and put on a few pounds, but now that I have a new job & great insurance I want to finally lose these pesky pounds and get ready to start a family.

In the last couple weeks I've renewed my dedication to working out and now really want to add more strength training and continue to improve my eating.

I've been a lacto-ovo-pescetarian since 2006 (which means I don't eat meat other than seafood and I'm not vegan, so I do eat eggs & dairy). I have grown to really love vegetables and my eating habits are getting better all the time. I do struggle with enjoying the feeling of being full, but eating healthier foods helps with that.

I am working towards my goal weight date of September 1.

My Goals:
My overall goal is to get down to about 140 - although I've been reconsidering maybe 135 or 130, but that might be too extreme. In a month or so I want to get a body fat test and start using that to set my goals. I also want to get in shape for myself and also to start a family.

My current goal is to be down to 140 by September 1.

My Program:
I am tracking food carefully, doing as much cardio as possible, and trying to add in weight training. I generally prefer to lose weight by burning extra calories, rather than severely limiting my eating, I am feeling super motivated, and not having too much trouble keeping my calories down.

Personal Information:
I live in Glasgow, Kentucky, but I'm originally from Canada. I am an attorney and work for a judge.

Other Information:
I'm sadly somewhat of a tv addict - it's a love/hate relationship, I enjoy watching it, but the time could always be spent doing something else. My husband and I are big movie buffs, and really enjoy music too.

We have two dogs, Rosie and Charley. We are trying to go out camping more often as that is something we both like to do.

Sandy~ Hello! Thanks for the comment on my page. I really enjoyed the bootcamp, it got me into doing strength training, which was something that I ignored before. I'm not actually following their program anymore as I wanted to do 3 days a week, but I found it really great. Best of luck, it looks like you're doing wonderful already!

Thanks for the add! It's great to know there are other people out there in the same boat!

Things are going well! I'm actually going to tour the University of Texas Law School this Friday, even though I'm almost 100% positive that I won't get in!

    How have you been doing?

It's comforting to hear that law school isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Whew! :) I'm applying to pretty much every law school in Texas (with a few exceptions), University of Oklahoma, University of Washington, and Notre Dame (as my dream school). And yes, I hate the personal statements already!!

Thanks for all of your help and support Sandy! I know what you mean about running. There's no greater feeling than the one you get after a good run, but it's frustrating when you can't run as much as you want! We'll build up, though! Law school apps have been scaring me so much, and I can't wait to get them out of the way. Maybe I should start, huh? Haha :) Where did you go to law school, by the way?
