Hi, my name is Sandy....I want to do this for me!! I don't know how or when I let myself get to where I am now? I need and want to get healthy now. I always said there was that one number on the scale that was a breaking point for me...I hit it and went by it. I've tried this before and just didn't have the willpower to follow through. I need to keep going and remember this is for life. I developed Type 2 diabetes a few years back and did really good for a while, lost weight, exercised....and then I let life get in the way again. I tend to put Sandy on the back burner and everything else first. I am slowly trying to learn to put Sandy first in the health area. I am worth the changes I have to make, and if my family loses weight because of my changes...all the better.

I love advice, so please....comment often.

My Goals:
~To become a healthier~lighter me~

~To eat to live, not live to eat~

~To walk in to a chain store and be able to just buy off the regular size girls racks~

~To reconnect with my wonderful husband of almost 24 years~

~Thanks to a fellow sparker..I want to hit my first goal and hit Lane Bryant and let them do their magic with me.~

~Feel confident in who I am~

My Program:
~just watch what I am putting in my mouth~

~record it all~

~exercise 3x week~


Personal Information:
I live in a small coastal community in Maine. My hubby is a lobsterman, and I work for a division of our local hospital. I work with some pretty amazing women who support me in all I do.
Thank god for good friends.

I've gained and lost so many pounds over the years. I just don't know when I gave up and got back to the point I find myself at again today. When did I allow myself to get this big? I sometimes look in the mirror and can't believe the woman that stares back at me is actually me. I hope to one day have that feeling but it is a lot smaller me looking back and be in disbelief that I did it. I'm going to try to take it in small doses and set small goals this time around so I can reach them.

One major goal is to get my blood sugar under control, this is a life style change that i have to find again and keep it going.
