I think I must truly be a gypsy. When I think of how many times I've moved in my life, it makes me react just when I see a cardboard box. Since I turned 50 in 2001, I moved to Phoenix where I moved six times. In 2011 I moved from Phoenix to Austin where I moved twice. I moved to San Diego in April 2013, then in December I moved to Cypress for three month, then back to San Diego in March this year. I will be moving to Oregon before the end of this year. My dream is to buy a house and never move again. Oh yeah, and to loose 65 pounds.

I love to do yoga and thai chi, I also have two dogs that like to walk. I would like to start a garden when I finally get settled but I'm a city girl so I'm not sure where to start.

My biggest challenge is cooking for one. I live alone and most recipes are for four or more servings.

I recently joined a gym and hope that will give me the motivation to stick to it this time.

My Goals:
So many goals, so little time. I want to realistically loose excess weight and get healthy by the time I turn 60 ... next month :)

UPDATE: So I turned 60 and now I want to do a 5K walk in October. So I'm training for that. I also want to plant a raised bed garden next month to grow my own veggies.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Time flies when you're having fun, or even if you're not having fun. Two years have gone by and I still need to loose the same as when I started. I have relocated to California but will be leaving here soon to go to Oregon. I hope to settle there for good ... or at least for several years.


My Program:
I love Yoga and I just discovered Kundalini Yoga. I also do Hatha yoga, thai chi, and walk my dogs up and down the dirt road to the house (one lap is about a half mile). I also have a small collection of exercise DVDs that I rotate every other day.

NEW PROGRAM: I am training for the 5k walk (that's a little more than 3 miles :)) And I joined a gym. So now I'm also taking aqua classes, doing weight training and walking on the treadmill.

NEWER PROGRAM: Since I am living with a friend in his upstairs apartment, I can't exercise inside. I walk my dogs, one at a time because the cocker has arthritis and goes slower, so I manage about 2 miles every morning with a stop at the park to throw the ball for Pagan. We do another 2 miles in the evening. That's about all right now but once I move to Oregon that will change.

    Thanks for adding me as a friend. It looks as though you have a good exercise plan which everyone needs. I do yoga three days a week when my schedule permits plus strength aerobics 2 days. Good luck on reaching your goal. I have no idea when I passed 115 pounds. :-) My doctor set my goal at 175. I'm 5ft 7 annd approaching 80.
