Hi! I am 30 years old and am tired of this body I am in. I feel I am an active person who is trapped inside of me. I want to learn to keep the weight off and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I can lose 20-30lbs but it comes back eventually...that needs to stop. My husband and I also want a baby and know that it would help if I lost weight. I am ready to do this! I am ready to be more comfortable and happy with myself.

Fitness Minutes: 65

My Goals:
1) Lose 100+ lbs
2) Be more confident in life and with myself
3)Give myself more me time and know it is okay to do so.
4) No more over snacking, snacking after 7pm, or feeding my feelings good or bad.
5) Get pregnant (sooner then later)
6)Keep making goals, giving myself something to work towards and never give up on myself.
7)Get back into beading (a form of me time) and feeling confident that I can sell it.
I am sure there are more swirling in my head and more to come big and small but for now this will do!

My Program:
Everyday I plan on giving myself time for me...I for now have to schedule that time so I don't feel guilty. I am becoming more active and starting a workout routine 6 days a week. I will drink more water and start wearing a pedometer to track my steps(I am curious). I am going to stay on SP and walk/workout with my husband for support. Drink more water and track my food intake.

Personal Information:
I am 30 years old, married, no children(yet), I have a great and supportive husband. We have been married for about a year and a half but together for almost 5 years. I live in Lodi, California but am originally from the Bay Area(san Jose, Santa Clara area). I am a nanny and have been for 5 years for the same family. I love my job...I feel blessed I can honestly say that. Before that I have always worked with children...I was a teacher at a preschool and mostly worked with special needs kids. Believe it or not I have even walked in 2 Marathons. The honolulu marathon in 2001 I walked, the second in 2002 I walked and ran. I would love to get to that point again!

Other Information:
My hobbies and likes inlude.....beading, swimming(have to get past the suit fear though),reading, I do like tv...a lot...favorite shows are biggest loser...I always have a box of kleenex handy for that show, Lost, CSI, Greys Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer. I also watch other shows but not as religiously.

I love to meet knew people and make new friends, I LOVE to travel and can't wait to do more in the future. I love road trips, and Disneyland...this is where my husband proposed to yes it is a cheesy happiest place on earth for me :)

    Another Monday is upon us and we are in the month of October. Where has the time gone? Another year is fast approaching; 2010; oh my goodness. Just think the holidays are fast approaching and my thoughts are how I will navigate through the festivities.

    Let me mention planning, we must plan. We should not be afraid of the holidays; we should be prepared for the holidays. Have you ever heard of the 5 P’s; (Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance)? We must use this philosophy on our journey, the more we are prepared, the more we plan the better we can perform. So the message for the week is planning to be prepared. I find that when I plan ahead I have fewer bumps in the road, especially my meals. Besides, we are embarking upon a permanent lifestyle, we plan to live healthier and longer, so the holidays will continue to come and we will be ready!

    Remember, whatever happened last week, in is the past, you cannot undo it. So if it was a bad week, that week is gone, plan for a better week, speak it into existence, plan the upcoming week and prepare to do it over and over again. Learn the lesson that was there for you and help someone else along the way.

    Good Monday Morning,

    This week the message is short. The month of September is almost over; can you believe it, almost done! We are getting ready to bring in October which brings us closer to the holidays and the end of the year.

    I am joyful today and I’m hopeful that this week will be wonderful for you. It is a positive state of mind and attitude we must possess, we must claim it and speak it into existence. Sometimes we have to really dig deep to find the positives in a negative situation. So what if you had a lousy go of it last week; that’s done, it’s over; do not revisit or dwell on it. If you made mistakes; you know my motto; chalk it up as a lesson learned and move forward. So with that, let’s move forward to the great week that’s ahead of us. Let’s proceed by saying: it will be a good week, I will do everything in my power to make it so!

    On September 10, 2009 I celebrated my 5th anniversary of being cancer free!

    I can’t begin to tell you what that means to mean. In 2004 I was not sure I would be alive to tell the story, but I am here and I must share my thoughts with you!

    I would like to remind you that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I am preparing early to get the word out to everyone that will listen. There is a slogan that states “Early detection is the best Protection.” I must say it’s true. I am a living witness; yes a living witness! Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, aside from skin cancer. According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), an estimated 192,370 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed among women in the United States this year. An estimated 40,170 women are expected to die from the disease in 2009 alone. Today, there are about 2.5 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States.

    We are on this journey together to reduce the numbers we see on the scale. This is wonderful, become better, healthier new and improved. However, it’s more than numbers on the scale. We must monitor all aspects of our health to ensure we are healthier in aspects of life. In addition to losing the weight, we want to be around to enjoy it. So please, please, please take the time out and take care of yourselves. Encourage your friends and love ones to do the same; it’s all a part of the big picture, not just the scales.

    Regardless of your current status, you are all beautiful people and you deserve the best life has to offer. So while you’re making plans to do your cardio, resistance/strength training, make plans to care for your body, become familiar with it. It only takes a moment to give yourself an exam and spread the word. Let’s live life to the fullest, try things we only dream of, go places we’ve only seen on television and dare to be the best we can be; not only for ourselves, but those that love us as well.
