Had my doctor check up, last Monday, and Tuesday was my dentist appointment for teeth cleaning, went back on wed., because I had one tooth, that I wanted removed. All three of appointments went well. Don't have to make another appointment with my Doctor, until six months. They called , everything looked good, except, she said I was low on Vitamin D, again. Now, I need to take one pill twice a week. I feel good.

Now, to keep moving right along with all of my goals.

Today's Date is: July 21, 2019

It's been hot, for several days, so much so, that we have a heat alert warning. It's suppose to be better on Monday, so that will be good.

I work on not focusing so much on the weather, anymore. It's going to be whatever each day, need to just accept it, and move on.

My focus is on what I want, and should be doing.

Everyday is a new challenge, and look forward to it, not dread it. Stay focused on the important things in life, the rest will take care of itself.

I'm still working on figuring out the things, I need to be doing. I take one day at a time, less stressful in doing it that way.

I haven't kept up with my spark pages, like I would like too. Need and want to do better soon.

I've had a few household issues, that needed taken care of. Finally, have two of those problems taken care of, so it's on to see what's next.

I've been sorting through things, working on getting rid of unwanted, and unneeded items. Yes, that always feels better getting even part of that job done. More to do in that department, but I'm off to a good start.

It's been so hot, lately, I just can't be outside much, with that kind of weather. I think this might be our hottest spell, right now. I can take the temp better as long as it's not too humid, and not a problem with air quality. Hope to enjoy the season, anyway.

Today's Date is: June 30, 2019


Here it is the end of June, and because of weather, it seems to make summer seem like it's going to be a short one. Oh well, we need to keep moving on, and stay positive.


On Tuesday I had an enjoyable afternoon, being out and about. Went to see my sister-in-law, and her new apartment. She was excited for me to see her, and her new place. My son took me, and we both enjoyed the day.
After we left her place, we went to the Mall, and I did a lot of walking, by the time, we were leaving, I was tired, and needed to sit down. Ha ha Felt good, afterwards, though.
We also stopped to eat, before we headed back home. It felt like a little mini-vacation.

Memorial day has just passed, and I went paid by respects of loved ones. I think about them all, and not just on Memorial Day. Think about certain memories ,and move on forward.

Now, this month, we celebrate Father's Day. For me, it's another time to think about the good memories, I have, because My Father has been gone for several years.

I think about my husband on Father's Day, because of the son we have together, so It's still a very special day.

I've been keeping track of my sugar levels, since I use the Freestyle Libre, and wear it, all the time. I'm happy with doing the readings this way, and you can even take a shower with it on.
This helps me to see what foods might be a good thing, plus it helps me to know what isn't working so good. My doctor said, I'm doing good.

I'm thankful for that.

Spring is here, even though it doesn't feel like it some days, winter wants to stick around. Ha ha

I feel so much better on days the sun is shining, and I'm ready to go outside in the fresh air.

I've been keeping track of my blood glucose levels with my Libre Freestyle, 14 days at a time. I also had to get the prescription for it from my doctor. Now, I can let her see how, I've been doing, when I go for my visit, in April. I figure she might be able to give me suggestions on what I should be doing, or need to do.

Looking forward to making some good changes for myself, and a healthier lifestyle.

The New Year has come, and is moving right along, a little too fast.


Here it is feb. and Valentine's Day right around the corner. We don't have anything special in mind to do, but I like the holiday, anyway.


I'm doing better, and I ask my doctor for a prescription for the new Freestyle Libre, to test my diabetes with. I was able to get it and have been using it for a little over a month, now. I like this much better than sticking my fingers. You wear it for 14 days at a time, before changing to a new one. I check my blood sugar, twice a day, now. In morning before breakfast, and again after my last meal of the day. I wait two hours, after I eat the last meal, than check it. It gives me a better way to see what I need to do.


Now, to get motivated, again, and start doing a regular exercise program, that I'm able to do. I'm a work in progress, on a daily basis.

To me, it's not about having or going to parties. It's about remembering all who lost their lives in the wars, and I think about all deceased in one's own families.

I've had some computer problems, hope I have things fixed,now. I know my computer is out of date, but it still works. Hope to get a new one,some day,now isn't the time.

I had to get a new doctor, saw her,and don't have to go back for awhile. She asked me, if I had been checking my blood sugar. I hadn't been, so need to work on doing this. I'm not sure what ideas or doctor orders she might give me, yet, because only went twice.

I'm planning to get outside more, this year. I was outside the other day, while the weather was nice. Didn't want to go out the day, they told people to stay in with certain conditions,because my allergies have been acting up.

Well,I see that I was missing the whole month of March,Omg!

Yesterday, was Easter, and also April Fool's Day, first time, I saw this happen. Seemed kind of strange.
I had a nice Easter,and fixed my tradition ham dinner,with sweet potatoes,and baked beans,also apple pie for dessert.

Things have been a bit odd around here for quite sometime,with oldest brother-in-law being in an out of hospital,and nursing home. He's 83 yrs old, and has trouble breathing , on oxygen. My DH goes and sits with him, every day. We never know what to expect,and could get a call at anytime,from him needing something,or his one son calling for help to get him up, where he's fallen. I get concerned over my DH not taking care of himself, and don't want him to get down. Oh well, I can't really do anything about it,except to pray for all. It just gets to a person at times. This is all the more reason, I need to focus on my own health and goals.

It's way past time, I plan things out for myself, but i need to get myself motivated in some new plans. (fitness,and meal planning)

This is going to be my goal for this month to set up my plans, with realistic goals in mind.

Be glad when the weather is a little nicer, no big winter coat,I will love that.

Here it is Feb, and the month is half gone. It's also a short month. Next month, the weather starts being a little nicer, and makes me start thinking about spring being right around the corner. I'm looking forward to it. I don't like the cold, as much as I use too. Lol!

Had a few bumps in the road again, but not going to let that stop me. I'm not giving up, just need to get things in order. Husband's oldest brother has been having health problems, now in the Nursing home. Not bad, though, for being 83 years old. I'm concerned about how well my husband will be able to handle things, though.

It's time to move on in a better direction, and do what's best for me, and my family.

I've been doing two challenges,which is one for ten minutes of fitness,every day,and the other one is to eat five fruit, and vegetables every day.

This challenge is for seven days, but I plan on keep doing this, and adding to the fitness challenge minutes.

I just started two new spark challenges,that I feel are doable for me. One is eating five fruits,and veggies for seven days. The other one is for fitness, do ten minutes,for seven days,of whatever exercise I choose. At least, I feel this is a good beginning for me to start from, and I hope to add to it, as time goes on. Doing this for me, because I'm worth it. I want to live a healthy lifestyle,so hopefully, I will be able to keep getting around on my own.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Today is the start of another New Year, and new month. Time to start fresh, and work smarter to achieve our healthy living goals.

I found out my family doctor was leaving,and had to find a new one. I did that in December 2017, and already met with my new doctor. I wasn't expecting this change to come, but here it was staring me in the face. Now, I have to get used to the new doctor, and office,all new people. Least, I don't have to go, until April.
It will be interesting what she has to say about my health, and if I should be doing anything different.

Stay safe, and warm, if you are like me,living in a cold area.

I noticed I didn't get on, and post for the month of November at all, gee.

Here it is December, and next thing, we will be celebrating Christmas. Which means another year is almost gone, and be starting another new one. How time seems to be flying by so fast, seems it's going faster than it ever has.
I enjoy looking at all the pretty lights,and displays, everyone has put out.
I hope to get my tree up, in a couple of days. Waiting for help to bring it up out of the basement.

I found out my family doctor will be leaving, in Jan. I found a new one, which I have my first appointment with next week. It's just to get myself established as her patient. I hope it all goes well.

I'm anxious to see what she has to say about things in general, including about my type 2 diabetes. It's still rough for me, figuring out what food to eat, and make some meal plans. I know there have been some days, that I didn't eat enough food.

Looking forward to continue on my healthier life style journey.

I'm glad to see a little cooler weather, the high humidity doesn't help with my motivation. It makes it harder to breathe, when it's too hot.

Therefore, looking forward to fall, and I do love to see the seasons change. Time to get my motivation, back, and get healthier, In doing so, I do hope to lose a few pounds, at least. I know it would make a difference with managing my blood sugar levels.

Enough talking about it, and time to start planning a work-out program, that I can stick with, and improve on. I know first thing I need to do is too set an exact time, that I will do my fitness program. I get this goal set into routine, the rest will follow.

I'm constantly learning new things every day, about all kind of different things. I'm also learning some things about myself, and what type of goals will work best for myself.

I've noticed, that I've been missing in action again, after checking my spark page out. I had computer problems for a couple of weeks, then I couldn't remember my password. Took care of that now, so I hope to make a new beginning, and stick with it, this time around.

I have to stop letting myself get side tracked, as I call it. I can do this, and do it my own well-being.

I just signed up a few minutes ago, for a ten minute fitness program, which will be sent to my e-mail address. Looking forward to giving it my best, and go from there.

Summer is not only here, but I feel it's going to go by fast. With a chance of rain, almost daily, it has been feeling a bit gloomy to me.

I know that I shouldn't let the weather effect me, like that, and at one time, it didn't. Need to work on taking a new approach to some of my viewpoints, and get back on track.

There has been some things,I didn't have any control over, but I need to not let them be an excuse to not work on my goals.
I'm working on getting myself re-motivated, and continuing on my healthy lifestyle. Never give up!

My son, and I walked to our local park on the 4th of July, to enjoy the fireworks. I hadn't been walking, but I made it. Even though, I had a few sore spots on both legs, I'm glad I went, and was able to walk every step over and back.

Funny thing was, I heard a teenage girl, asked how much further she had to walk. I thought Omg! It made me feel that much better about myself, though.

It shows that I can do more than I think I can. I just have to get motivated and make myself get started doing it.

Enjoying a nice day, and I've already put my dinner in the oven to cook. Making pot roast, with potatoes, onion, and carrots, this is a family favorite.

My son works late, so it will be done by the time he gets home.

Worked outside planting some flowers, yesterday. You find out that you haven't worked some of those muscles for awhile. Gives me a quick reality check on what I need to be doing. Having trouble getting started with my program. It seems there is always coming up, taking time away from getting started. I know I'm going to have to be more focused, and not let other people take me away from things I need, and want to be doing.

It was my son's birthday on Monday, April 10th, and celebrated at home with cake and ice cream. I know I shouldn't eat it, so I only allowed myself a very small piece of cake, and about a tablespoon of ice cream. This is because I have type 2 diabetes. I'm working on not eating things that I know I shouldn't because certain foods could make my A1 C go up. I'm working on getting it down to a safe level, than maintaining it at that level.

Sunday will be Easter,so warmer weather is on it's way to stay. I'm glad for that, as well as looking at all the beautiful flowers in bloom.

I did take a short walk , on Monday afternoon, which felt good afterwards, and I'm proud I did as well as I did. First walk of this year, outside, now, I know I need to get out, to do more of that. It helps clear a person's head, as well, as getting fit.

Here it is March , already, and Spring is right around the corner. I have to work harder on planning and meeting my goals. Going to do this for me, and yes, I'm worth it.

I went for my annual check-up, last Monday. My results wasn't too bad, but they need improvement ,for sure. My A1-C has climbed back up some, that's not good. Since I've been sick, most of winter, than allergies had to rear their ugly head. My doctor gave me a prescription for an allergy medicine, plus flonase, nasal spray, use once a day, as needed. She also put me on another medication to help protect my kidneys from my type 2 diabetes. Therefore, I need to work harder on taking better care of myself. I don't think I let myself realize just how serious, my diabetes can be, even though, my Mom had it too.
I know I can do better, got to get myself motivated, and make living a healthier lifestyle, my lifetime goal.

Well, heard the groundhog saw his shadow for six more weeks of winter weather. I always thought this was a fun idea, but I know we are going to have six more weeks of winter, anyway.

With Valentine's Day being this month, it's also know for National heart health month.

No time like the present to work on new goals. I've never been very good at setting up goals, but I need to work on that.

I plan on going through some of my favorite work out routines, and make a list. This way, I will know the exact name of the exercise I want to do, and be able to log it in on my fitness page.

Since, making a new spark page for myself, because of losing my first one, I don't have many spark friends on here, at the present.

I hope to make some new ones to add to my list.

I now have testing equipment to test my sugar levels, but I don't have to use it every day, my doctor said.

First time using it, I found out some food that I shouldn't be eating, especially from a fast food place.

I have been working on making most meals at home, unless something unexpected turns up to change the plan. Least, I will be doing most of my own good home cooked meals. Nothing taste as good as home cooking.

I've been reading more about diabetes, so I can work on my healthier lifestyle plans, with food, and exercise.

It's taken me, quite some time to get use to the fact that I indeed have type 2 diabetes. It seems quite a bit to handle ,when you first find out you have it. I knew it was possible, because my Grandma, and Mother both had type 2 diabetes, late in life. Knowing this doesn't make it any easier to deal with, when it comes to your own self, though.

Went for lab work, this morning, and will see the doctor, next Monday. I will see lab results ,than, and see how I'm doing.

I'm anxious to see how my type 2 diabetes is doing, especially my A1 C. This is the number, my doctor seemed to be more concerned about.

I've been doing much better on how much I eat. It's funny how you can fool yourself into thinking your portions didn't use to be that big. Now, I know the difference between what I used to think, and what my actual portion should be.

First day of fall, begins this week. Now, I need to get myself focused on making new goals, and carrying them out, this time.
I got for annual check up with my family doctor, in October. I will see how things are doing then. I've been working on eating better, and controlling my portion sizes. Doing it for myself, and my health, since I've been told I've type 2 diabetes. I know this is serious business, so I have to stay motivated.

I'm still working on figuring the fitness design out, as well. When I see how it works, I will see if I can add a fitness program , and work on the areas, I need the most work on. They say slow, and steady wins the race, so I'm off to a rather slow start.

Spring is finally here! I love seeing all the trees and flowers start budding out to bloom. It makes everything seem a little better at least for awhile. I will enjoy it while I can.

I want, and need to get outside, more, this year. Nothing like fresh air, and sunshine, my motivation to do better with my fitness, and general well-being.

Joined a new Spark group, today, that seems like a good one. It's the Small Plate Club, and I can do this. It starts with changing to a smaller plate, which I've done already. This might not seem like much, but I know it makes a big difference. Those bigger plates will cause a person to eat more than they realize. Didn't think I was over-eating, until I changed the size of my plate. Looking forward to doing better.

It's still February, but I thought I'd go ahead and update my Spark page, since this month is almost gone.

I had a doctor's appointment today, and found out about my blood work. My doctor said I was doing good, but increased my one medication. I have to go back in one month from today, to have a non-fasting blood work done to see how my type 2 diabetes medication is working. She also said, I lost 5 lbs. ,so this made my day. Happy with my results, but need to keep working at doing better.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. We have snow coming down, and looks like it will be staying around for awhile.

I'm suppose to have fasting blood draw in the morning, so I'm hoping the roads will be in good shape, because I don't want to cancel. Anxious to see what my results will be this time, so I know how I'm doing on my nutrition goals. The following week, I will have an appointment to see my doctor fro the results.

Here it is, February already. One thing about this month is, it won't be long until spring, yea.
Not only is this month , Valentine's Day, but it's also Heart Healthy Month. I'm feeling better just thinking about spring coming, soon. Not liking the winter weather, the way I used too.
I have to challenge , myself, to get back on track. It's up to me, to do my best to make it happen, no one else can do it for me. I have to want to do it for myself, and take action. I have been doing better with my eating, and now, I can really look back to see how I was truly over-eating. Funny, I didn't think I was, but no better, now. This is first half of my battle. It's a very important part, too. I'm working on this, thinking my diabetes won't get too bad, maybe, I could even get off of medication, if I lose enough weight.
This is one of my goals, anyway. Nutrition and fitness, are my main focus goals, at this time.
I go back to the family doctor , this month, that will tell me, how I'm doing. I will work on it, according to what I find out, and what my doctor has to say. Working on staying healthy.

I haven't been on for quite some time, again, this needs to be one of my primary goals, as well.
Here it is another New Year, so hard to believe how the time seems to go by so fast,anymore. I think it's partly because our whole world is in a hurry up mode, all the time.

I've got to work on changing my ways, for sure. This will be the only way, I can make progress for myself, and get the results, I want to see.
I have to take time for me, and set aside a time for fitness goals, and any other goal, I set and want to accomplish for myself. Yes, I'm on this healthier living goal, for me, than other family members will benefit from my results.

I have been eating healthier, but haven't been logging it in on here.
Next month, I will be getting blood fasting work done, and seeing my family doctor for annual check-up. I'm hoping I see good results on my blood sugar reading for type 2 diabetes.

I bought myself an exercise machine, it's not that big, but I can use it for my arms, and legs, can make it go forward, or backward, it's like a small stationary exercise bike. I have to set it on a mat, so it won't move around when I use it. It didn't come in the mail until Jan, so now to get started .

Here it is a few days past Christmas Day, and this time, it's been raining. I like to see a little snow on the ground, just enough to make it feel a little more like, Christmas time. Oh well, things could always be worse. Other states had tornado, very different for this time of year.

My family and I enjoyed our Christmas. We like to keep things simple. I cooked the ham dinner, and made a chocolate pie, with graham cracker crust(I bought) added a small amount of cool whip, when served, it was good.

Now, is a time to reflect back on the past year, and see what I need to improve on, than move forward. I went to physical therapy for a total of seven trips. First time was to evaluate my problem with my shoulder movement. After that, they came up with exercises, that I would be able to do, and gave me a copy, so I could continue doing them at home. Started out with the red stretch band, than worked up to the second color of green. On last visit, they game me the next color band of blue, for when the green became easy for me. I also bought a two lb dumbbell to use for a few of the exercises. Started out only using a one pound dumbbell. He told me to continue with the exercises, which I am doing so. I want full movement of my shoulder back.

It's partly back to the drawing board for some new programs to work on for myself. I've come to far to not continue in improving myself, and my health.

Looking forward to the New Year, and I always hope the new one is better than the last one.

I had a very nice Thanksgiving, with my family. I did the cooking, and we had turkey, homemade dressing, green beans, cranberry celebration(Kroger), and pumpkin pie for dessert, with cool whip.
I kept my portions in check, and feel good about that. I wasn't the least bit stuffed, afterwards. There are only 3 of us, myself, husband, and grown son.
I hope everyone else's Thanksgiving turned out to be an enjoyable day.

As for Black Friday shopping, I don't care for that. I will leave that for all the ones who think that's a fun way to shop.

I found out that I need to go to therapy, starting this coming Tuesday for my right shoulder. I have a small tear, tendonitis, bursitis, and partially frozen. The specialist wants me to do the therapy, than see how it's doing, least no surgery on it, at this time. I'm grateful for that, especially with Thanksgiving coming up, next week.

My son got a turkey from his workplace, so I will be fixing that. We will have turkey, dressing, gravy, either mashed potatoes, or sweet potatoes, and green beans. Might have some cranberry relish, with pumpkin pie for dessert. It's only three of us, so I like to keep it simple, that's the way we enjoy our day.

Hope everyone can enjoy their Thanksgiving Day, too, in whatever way they choice to celebrate it, or not.

Went to my doctor appointment,on Tuesday, lab results turned out good. I was pleased with those results, and my blood pressure was great.
I had hurt my right shoulder, late summer, which is still bothering me. Doctor had me to get an x-ray , went same day, got that done.
They called and said, I had arthritis in it, but still wanted me to get an MRI done, and see a doctor for that. I have an appointment this Tuesday, coming up for the MRI. Dread going through the machine, but at the same time, I will be glad to get it done to see if anything else is the problem. After this, I will be going to see the doctor to find out the results, and what if anything I need to do. I will than, be able to know where I am at with my goals and programs for health and fitness.

I have been doing better with my food choices, so that is starting to come together for the best. I still have plenty of things to focus and work on for myself. This is my wellness journey, and I plan to make the most of it.

Logged in today, and read a few things. I also added exercise to start doing, later next week.

I have a doctor's appointment coming up on Tuesday, for check up, and learn what my blood fasting lab work said about how I'm doing. Be glad to find out, and will go from there on what to do.
Hoping my check up turns out well, see how my diabetes is doing. I need to find out if she wants me to check it, on a daily basis, because of now, I'm not doing that. She never said anything about that part, yet.
I need to work my meal plans out, because I know I'm not dong as good as I could . My nutrition tracker has told me so, Lol! Days that I think I've done good, I find out didn't have enough of one thing, too much of something else, and it goes on. It's not an easy thing to figure out, so it's going to take more work on it.

Fall is in the air, but it was a very nice day out. I went for a short walk, and so glad that I did.
Went ahead and changed my background page, because it's not that long, before Halloween will be here.
I have enjoyed the nice weather these past few days. I know it won't last much longer, so will enjoy it while I can.
Been doing housework, but I don't log it for my exercise. I'm slowly getting back into doing a fitness routine.

Fall is here, but we have been having some beautiful warm days, this week. I'm enjoying the nice weather, before it's gone.
Behind as usual on my Spark People goals and challenges. I an going to finish the challenge, I started, before I move on to a new one. I know I can do it, need to stay more focused. I've had some personal things take up my time, but getting those under control now. I know that I need to do my Spark People login, and goals for the day, such as exercise. Do this, before I do anything else, or I wind up not doing them.

I've signed up for the Spark People's New Member Challenge, yesterday. I think this will be a good start back for me, and I can do this.

After I complete this one, I will look for another challenge, that I will be able to do. Doing this for myself, and my family will reap the benefits of it, too.

I know that it's very important for me to learn and practice new habits every day, from now on. It's for my health, since I have type 2 diabetes. I know it would be in my best interest to shed a few, or several pounds. I've been working on my meals, and I will have to be working on a fitness plan, too.

I went back for blood work, on Monday, and heard back, that everything was fine. It always makes me feel better to hear that news.

School has started in my area, as of last week, but I don't have to think about that, because don't have any children, or grandchildren going now.

Summer is coming to a close soon, and I'm not ready, yet. Of course, the seasons doesn't wait on anyone, they come and go. I was hoping to enjoy more things, this summer, but the weather didn't want to co-operate with the idea.

Oh well, I will enjoy whatever the season might be, as long as I can stay healthy, which is my big plan, today, and the rest of my life.

Had a doctor visit ,today, just routine check up. Have to go back in two weeks, for non-fasting blood work to see how things are going. I got my shingles vaccine ,today, also. Go back in three months, other than the extra blood work. I was happy about the scale showed a slight weight loss, so I feel I have been on the right track. Time will tell how things are going. Need to stay focused and motivated on becoming a healthier me.

I went on Tuesday, June 30, for a vascular screening of my legs, abdomen, and carotid arteries. I heard from my doctor's office this morning, that my tests, turned out normal, so I'm very happy for that news.
Now, this Tuesday, July 7, I will be going to my diabetes class to find out what I need to do, and what food I should be eating. Anxious to get this class over with, so I can manage my type 2 diabetes, now I know I have it. Not sure, what food is best for me to eat, now. Another new learning experience for me to take on. I know that I can do it, though.

Yesterday, I went to my doctor appointment to find out my blood fast results. Most things were good, but I was told that I have type 2 diabetes. My doctor gave me medication for the diabetes, one pill in the evening after supper. Go back in six weeks to see how everything is going. She wants me to attend a class, which is free, so called to set it up today. They have to call me back. This is going to be a new lifestyle change for me, and will take some adjusting. I know that I can do it, though. I joined a new team to help me with my goals, and making the adjustment.

My this shows me, just how long I've been away from SparkPeople site. Time seems to get away so fast ,anymore. I need to be more aware of this, and figure out a set time of day, or evening to log in. I also need to figure out what exercises, and so on, I want to do, that I will stick with my program. I should know more about it after my doctor visit, this Tuesday. I will be hearing the results of my blood fasting work. My insurance also called, had my appointment to changed to a later time of day, so the doctor would have time to do a wellness visit. I'm not sure what the difference is with this kind of visit, but will be finding out soon.

Tomorrow, we celebrate, and honor memorial day. I'm thankful for all the sacrifices, our veterans have made for our freedom, both living and dead.

I have always felt it was time to remember all of our loved ones, who have gone on before us. May they all rest in peace.

Anyone who is having picnics, etc please stay safe, and enjoy the day, as you choose.

Finally, spring has arrived, and it feels so much better. Now, I need to get myself motivated and back on track with my goals. I have started spring cleaning, and that makes me feel better ,too, getting rid of some stuff, that I don't need anymore. I know that I need to be more active on this site, because it helps keep me motivated. Right now, I can use all the support I can get. Even though, I only gained 5 lbs, back in six months, it was 5 lbs, too much. I now have to go back to my doctor in four months ,instead of six, because of my fasting blood work. (sugar and liver levels up) I don't want diabetes, so I need to work on weight loss, and eat healthy from now on. Now, to get my head back on straight, and get with it.

It's beginning to look and feel more like Spring, this makes me happy. I have been getting so tired of the winter weather, time to put that season behind, and enjoy the new one.
I have allowed myself to get off track once again, but not going to dwell on that fact. Time to just pick up the pieces, and move forward. Need to keep positive thoughts, so I can stay focused and motivated.
I started a challenge, that I haven't near finished, so I'm going to pick that up where I left off, and finish it. First one of my goals to accomplish. I need to set a few others, but want to keep those at a minimum for now, so I can complete them. As I do better, I can add extra goals later down the road. This makes more sense for me to start with, so I don't get overwhelmed by it all.

I had three appointments, this month, all first 3 Wednesdays, glad to have those over with. Now, I know where I stand and what goals I need to create for my healthier lifestyle. I have to go back to see my family doctor, sooner ,this next time, due to blood work results. My levels was up on a couple things, so go back in four months, instead of six. I have gained 5lbs. in the last six months, and she wants me to keep trying to lose weight. I also had to go back on my Cholesterol medication, since it was up ,too. I can see where I got off on the wrong track, so now, I'm putting a stop to that, and going on from there. It won't be easy, but it will be worth while. I also, can use support in reaching my goals. Looking forward to getting on with my goals, and can't wait, until it's not so cold outside, Lol! Hope everyone can stay safe, and healthy.

I have to do a fasting blood work in the morning, so won't be eating anything starting at 8:00 P.M. tonight. I also wont'be drinking anything except water starting at this time, either. Little bit anxious about getting my blood work done, because I'm hoping for good results. My doctor said, if my cholesterol checks out okay, I might be able to not take medication for this anymore, and that would be great. I have been eating much better, more healthy food choices. Doing better about getting started with my Spark People goals, still working on some, and need to complete a few.

I wanted to change my e-mail address for my Spark People account, but didn't want the same mail going to the other email I was using for a long time. In doing so, I closed my other account, and lost all of my previous progress, pictures, teams, articles, everything, so now looks like I'm starting all over from the beginning like I had never been on the site, Gee. Oh well, it might be just as well, since I hadn't done very good with my programs.
This will be a total new beginning for sure, all new teams, goals, the works, Lol! Might as well go with it, and not look back. This could be the best thing I could have done for myself without realizing it. So ,it's moving onward, and upward for a healthier lifestyle.
I joined a new challenge, starting today, even if the challenge is for day 2, I will go back and check day 1 out later.

My Goals:
My main goal is to live a healthier life style. I want to do strength training, and some cardio. I get a dextra scan done every so many years to check on bone loss, so I hope to start a walking program to help with that. Other benefits with doing that would be to lose some weight, which I need to do, also. I take cholesterol medication , so weight loss would help with this too.


My Program:
Do some type of exercise, for ten minutes, every day. This is my short term goal.
