I love to read; I'd rather read than exercise.
I hate getting hot and sweaty.
I love to cook; I went to culinary school, and used to be a chef and a home ec teacher.
I know how to cook healthy, and I know how to eat healthy, but...I am lazy, and don't pay attention like I should.
Now I have to get myself back into shape. But how to start, and how to keep it going..????

My Goals:
My first babystep goal is to become more awareof when I eat from boredom or stress.
Another goal would be to start eating less; to know when to stop before it's too late.
The third goal is to start and continue to exercise: something I have never liked to do, and never been successful at! Maybe this time?

My Program:
Working to watch what I eat

Working to NOT eat from boredom or to keep myself focused on tasks I am not wanting to complete

Increasing exercise: gym time and outdoors time

I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, born and bred. Now we live in what's known as Far East CoCo County (you Northern Californians will know where I am!).

    The only way I possibly get enough water in me is to carry a 32 oz. Nalgene bottle full EVERYWHERE I GO. I fill it up in the morning and I figure I need to drink about 2 (minimum) total bottles per day to be hydrated correctly. So, the first fill up ought to be gone by mid-day. I fill it up again and keep drinking until bedtime. And, if I'm behind in the golly, I bring that water bottle to my bedside and try to sip on it before I fall asleep.

    It's crazy, but it works.

    I read your post on what food you couldn't live without and I totally hear you on the exercise front! I love food and abhor exercise. The only thing that gets me on the ellipticle is something good to watch on TV or a good book to read to distract me. (If you like fantasy/sci-fi ish stuff, I recommend Sherri S. Tepper.) You mentioned hating okra. The only thing I have tried so far that I can't stand is lychee fruit. Any way you know to prepare that well?
