January 2016:
My journey since my total knee replacement in August, 2014 has been a painful one. A year after the surgery I was still complaining about pain, although it didn't seem to be from the knee, and my doc sent me to an ankle specialist. The specialist requested an MRI, which revealed a fracture of the tibia in November 2015. Since then I've been at a loss as to what I can do for exercise that won't aggravate the knee (the fracture is on the right side of the operated knee). My plan is to find some upper body routines that I can do until my bone heals. I am a bit lost, but hope to find my way.

April 2014:
BLC24 is coming to an end and I've decided that I will not continue with the challenge. I wish to dedicate more time to my other teams, which have been neglected due to my limited time for Spark. BLC has been amazing for me. It taught me to appreciate support and to learn from others, even when their methods are different. I started running about two weeks ago and I feel that will catapult me into another phase of my journey.

December 2013:
Having completed BLC23 I feel stronger and more resolved to continue my journey. Although I only lost 2lbs I learned a tremendous amount and look forward to BLC24, during which I plan to make healthier choices.

May 2013:
I have been seriously trying to lose weight since June 2009. It is not until recently, however, that I really got serious and started exercising and eating and drinking more in line with my weight loss goals. 2013 is my year to drop a significant portion of my excess weight, I know it...!

    Hi Ruth emoticon Thank you for the nice welcome! I enjoyed reading your page! I hope your knee and leg are getting back to "normal". Been there and done that, first with a broken leg (broke just above the ankle and I have a plate and screws holding it together) over 20 years ago, then surgery to repair a torn meniscus. I'm really good at predicting the weather emoticon
