I am now a 40 year-old mother of 3. Turning 40 has taught me to be kinder to my body. Sweating to death isn't necessary if it means I will be injured. I am taking up yoga, moderate cardio and being very easy with the weight. gain. I have a high-stress job and little free time.
I have been up and down since joining Sparkpeople ages ago. Now that I know that I am done having body is all MINE! It's time to take it back!
My interests vary but I can sum up my life as one in desperate need of balance.
I like movies, action-packed tv shows, alternative medicine, alternative religion, self-help babble and meditation.
I like the escape of some tv shows as my attention span won't support reading. I know that sounds ignorant, but it's true!
What am I doing at any given time:
Trying to alleviate stress, taking care of 3 kids (15, 12 and 2), juggling work and home and trying to be a good egg.
What am I watching at any given time:
The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, Any Documentaries, Dr. Phil and Crime Documentaries

I am a 34 year-old single mother of two children. I have a high-stress job and have often neglected my health. I know that I can lose weight as I have done it before. I need help with sticking to a healthy diet. I am ready for the challenge.

UPDATE! I am engaged! My sweetheart proposed on my birthday, 2/9/08!

UPDATE to UPDATE! I am married! I married my hubby on 8/22/10. I gained a little weight during the honeymoon but it was worth every calorie!

October 19th, 2008: Ok, stakes are higher now! I just got invited to my 15 year high school reunion. There is no way I am going there looking like a cow! I was 185 when I graduated and I will return to that weight by May. I got 6 months. 6 months- 45 pounds, I can do this!!!!!!!!!!

I am a 35 year-old married mommy who has become a runner...Aborigine style!

Totally Up to Date:
I am now 37, have three children and a husband. 2013 was a tough year with a new baby, new house, new ailments and new realizations. I have to make 2014 about ME! I plan to starting NOW!

I will weigh 165 pounds by my 5th wedding anniversary- 8/22/15.

I am now 5''9" and 229 pounds.
I want to be 165 by August of '08.
There is nothing like a breast reduction to reveal a big ole belly! LOL

My Program:
"The things we fear the most have already happened to us."

I lost 50 pounds in the past.
It sounds simple, but I did it with exercise and limiting caloric intake.
No diets. No gimmicks.
I know it can be done!
Weight training is a girl''s best friend.
