2016!! 4 children now and I can't wait to have more energy and to run again! Currently 205 pounds and size 14 clothes. Started the couch to 5K program and the 28 day bootcamp right on this site! The eating part I really need to get a handle on. :D


Update: April 10th, 2011. Baby boy has arrived and I'm preparing for my get-fit journey all over again. As much as I wanted to continue exercising during pregnancy, it just didn't happen. My goal is to begin running again on May 1st with the couch-to-5K program. I did sustain a broken tailbone during birth, so while riding a bike is out of the picture for now, I hope it doesn't affect more upright exercise.

Update: October 15th, 2010. My weight loss has been put on hold for the time being. I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I'm still trying to stay on top of healthy eating and exercise, although I'm not doing a great job thus far. Feeling more motivated to make an effort lately (maybe the decrease in nausea has something to do with it!). I weighed right around 200 pounds when I gave birth to my other children, my goal is to stay around 190 or less this time around. That will be 10 pounds less that I have to lose next year! :)

I decided something needed to change when I started to dislike what I was seeing in the mirror. Also, as a mommy to two small children I was getting comfortable with putting myself last. I knew that for my children to grow up with strong concepts of self and a healthy self esteem they will need a mom that�s comfortable in her own skin and looks after herself.

Hence I started my journey to become a healthy weight, eat a rounded diet with more whole foods, and gain the energy to play endlessly with my children. In spring of 2009 I weighed a little over 180 pounds, a weight that I had sat at since after the birth of my son in 2008. I started going to an aquacize class and I threw myself into a couch to 5K program (quite a feat for someone who once described running as, �the highest form of self torture imaginable!)

2009 is now winding down (November) and I have lost a total of 20 pounds and I�ve traded my size 13/14 clothes for size 10! In September I even ran in my first 5K. I have another 9 pounds to go to reach my first goal and I�m feeling great!

    Thanks for the advice. However I didn't read that until I just completed the workout...oops! lol but I think it all worked out for the best. I found that when I was actually DOING the exercises I couldn't tell I was sore from the day before anymore. And today was a little easier than the last 3 days have been and I felt a little stronger....so I'm super happy I did it! Thanks for your help...truley appreciate it!

    Its definitely "I had a great workout" soreness.... no injuries. So should I just push through? I've got some major cramps today so I took some ibuprofin a few minutes ago...so maybe that will work double time and help relieve some of my muscle soreness lol
