seeing your message board post and wanted to share something with you.
a few months ago, i was stuck. i had been stuck because my world just fell apart [3 human deaths, my dog's death, and a move to virginia from new york]

i was counting my calories, working out. doing everything i had been doing to lose over 100 pounds. but the weight kept creeping up.
i was a weight loss pro. i went from 284 to 154....and then back up to 183.

it was at that moment that i decided SOMETHING had to give. i wasnt going to go back to 284. i dont have health insurance so i couldnt go to the doctor. the only thing i could do was try a diet.
instead of just tracking my calories, i decided to do atkins.

    me. a vegetarian. doing atkins.
    me. someone who despises diets.
ive always said that if im going to lose weight, it is going to be on my terms.

july 29th, i began atkins at 183 pounds.
    today i am 152.
[one of those months i was off of atkins due to family visiting otherwise im sure i would be lower!]

food, i am realizing, affects our bodies so majorly.
i am not a .....atkins thumper or whatever you want to call it. i dont belong to any low carb teams or anything like that.
it can work for some people and other people think that it is just a fad diet.

i just wanted to share with you because i found myself in your story and wanted to share what worked for me. there has not been a day that ive been doing this that ive questioned it or how i feel.

Thank you soo much for your comment on my page! You made me smile and cry at the same time!

You should have seen me, shoving my phone in my husband's and daughter's faces, "Look!! I'm someone's inspiration!!" to which my daughter replied, "Mom, you've ALWAYS been my inspiration."

    Cue the waterworks.

    Thank you again. emoticon
