I'm a 35 year old woman living and loving life in the Cleveland area.

The whole weight thing has been a life long issue. In fact, I just found a picture the other day of when my mom and I joined TOPS (Take off pounds sensibly) when I was in the 7th grade. Apparently, I weighed in at 172 back then. I've packed on a few since then....and MUST lose it to be healthy and live a long life.

Part of the desire to get healthy is that I have dilated cardiomyopathy, which is treated by an ICD-pacemaker...and beta blockers that keep my heart rate down and puts the body into slow mo mode. Unfortunately, it does a number on metabolism too. A nasty virus attacked my heard about 10 years ago. I also need to be mindful not to use this as an excuse. It's a hurdle...a hinderance, but it can be overcome.

All of my life, I've been a people pleaser - putting others ahead of myself. I want to use Spark and Weight Watchers to finally focus on me. It will always be a challenge for me, but I'm proud to say that so far, I'm meeting it head on. I've lost 60+ lbs since May 2012...and feel so much better.

Life is starting to get more exciting, and I'm feeling good about myself. It's hard work, and I slip up sometimes. I try to remember that one night won't make me gain the weight back...keeping in that pattern will.

Short term goal (6) is to be a size 14/16 by Thanksgiving.

Short term goal (5) is to be under 220 by 09/15 !

Short term goal (4) is to be under 235 before my conference trip to March 2013. 2 LBS + but working on it! ACCOMPLISHED

Short term goal (3) is to be under 250 by 9/15.

Short term goal (2) is to be under 260 by 7/15.

Short term goal (1) is to be 270 by 6/1! ACCOMPLISHED!

Other Information:
I'm a total geek...and know it. I love MMORPGs though I'm not playing one right now. Oh, and I adore bad reality TV shows.

    I had a bit of a slump from October until January...didn' lose anything and in fact, I gained back a bit. But, I decided to start again and kick those healthy habits back into gear. I know you can do the same. I'm rooting for you!

    Actually I have been in a slump and I think I gained my weight back, oops. Maybe all of it, My routine and healthy eating/exercise had to stop when my mom had a dog attack, so I had to cook for her all day and take care of her. I feel today may be the day to get back on track though. I tortured myself long enough.

    Hi Samantha. Previously, I went to Zumba with Adam - http://adamweslek.zumba.com/. But I used up my Groupon and ended up getting a YMCA membership...so now I'm doing spin class and working out there. I'm always looking for work out friends so let me know if you're interested.
