Wanting to lose weight to better myself and lead a healthy lifestyle.

My Goals:
(1) be consistent with my Spark food journal. Statistically, it will help me in the long run

(2) aim to burn 400-500 cal per cardio session.

(3) drink more water -- at least 8 cups/ day

(4) drink more green tea

(5) Start running! I have done two 5ks and I want to keep doing more -- only beat my previous times!

(6) Start BELIEVING in myself!!!!

My Program:
Zumba: 2-3x week
Pilates: 2x week
Cardio: 3x week

0 sugar, 0 flour.

My diet consists of vegetables, lentils/ beans, poultry and fish, some grains (brown rice and preferrably quinoa) nuts, and some dairy. I don't drink as much milk as I should (shame on me), but I guess that could be another goal. Everything's a work-in progress. I use a lot of soy, almond, and coconut milk in my cooking/ protein shakes. I also have plain Greek yogurt that I use in cooking and snacks. I figure you can add your own fruit and monitor the sugar intake.

I do believe in moderation and think that deprivation can cause fall-backs and one dessert or one "cheat" meal won't kill you, so long as you get back on track ASAP.

Oh, and stevia and unsweetened cocoa powder is essential for me. Always.

My name is Moriah. I’m 27-years-old, born and bred in The Ocean State — Rhode Island!

I have a Bachelor’s in Science in Communicative Disorders from The University of Rhode Island (speech and audiology undergraduate), as well as an Associate’s in Art. Although school has taught me so much, I still am constantly curious in learning — especially about food, recipes, and exercise!

I am probably the least picky eater you'll ever meet and Zumba is my favorite form of exercise.
