I am married to a great man and we have a wonderful young son. I have been overweight most of my life (now I am at 300). I am looking to making great changes to my life that will lead to some results. Not just being a healthier weight, but being healthy for itself and to be a good example for my son. Of course, I would also enjoy buying off the rack and being able to ride on the rollercoaster with my son.. .those things are important too. :) Goals: below 300 - workout shirt - DONE 290 - manicure 280 - go to Movies of choice :) Now at 274. 270 - movies of choice 260 - movie of choice 250 -- something significant -- I have not been this weight in years

My Goals:
Goals:
- Get down to 175 and then go from there.
- Become generally healthier.
- Be CPAP machine-free.
- Able to do a 5K walk again.
- Ride amusement park rides with son.
- Be able to run around with my son and play games without huffing and puffing!
- Wear clothing that doesn't have an X in it.


My Program:
Just in the beginning stages now:

- Track my calories
- Track my steps with a pedometer and gradually increase. Immediate goal is to regularly do 5000 steps.
- Walk on treadmill 30 mins/day
- Strength train 3x/week

    Hey!! I just noticed that you are VERY close to that workout shirt goal!!! Go for it!!! I started wearing a pedometer two weeks ago and realized that I was hardly moving at all! ( I work form home and sit at the computer most of the day!) My activity level was somewhere between a slug and a coffee table!! Now I am walking 30-45 minutes per day and am noticing some big improvements in how I feel. I am sure the weight loss will follow if I stick with it. Hope you're having a great week!
