    I'm a grad student, too, and have found that (a) not beating myself up for past mistakes and (b) making really tiny changes (25 mins exercises 3-5 times per week, healthier breakfast, etc.) has had some tremendous effects. It takes a lot of time for small changes to have effects, so patience is a handy thing to have.
