Hi! I'm Lex. I'm an 18 year-old college student in Montana studying biology, chemistry, and a bit of psychology too.

I'm short- about 162 cm or 5'3.8". My highest weight was in 2009 when I peaked at 155 lbs after losing a lot of weight in 2008- and then falling to depression and gaining it all back. I'm good now though, and since then (when I joined SparkTeens), I've been living a pretty healthy- and happy- lifestyle. I hover around 125-130 lbs, with a goal of getting that down to 115-120 lbs (aiming for 117) and then just maintaining a healthy lifestyle and getting fit and gaining some muscle mass.

I have a great little sister (Liv), three other older siblings, wonderful parents, and the world's most amazing boyfriend, Rob, who someday I hope to/will spend my forever with.

I don't believe I need to be thin to be happy, confident, or amazing. Neither should you. I'm doing this just because I like treating my body well.

I post a TON of stuff on my fitblr (it's a blog about fitness and health and stuff) which is here (I think you need to copy/paste?):
On there will be more of my updates and you can search for stuff and look at recipes and find workout ideas if you're ever wanting something new.

I'm religious and proud to be LDS. This isn't going to change. Neither will my political convictions (libertarian). Let's just not talk about them, okay?

Re: calories burned, I guess it depends on how many steps you took. Ping pong could easily look like as many steps as low impact aerobics. My fitbit always wants me to get 2300+ calories, I think that would be about 10,000 steps. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! I'm sure I'll probably get a lot of cramps too, but if I am having no pain, I probably ain't gaining anything from the workout. And yes, that would be pretty convenient. :D I am actually going to be doing them with a friend, she'll be using my DVD set. I can't wait to get started and see which one is my favorite. It's always good to hear from people who have already done TurboFire. It makes me know I will enjoy it even more!

Hey - the only way to get stronger and start "looking like you belong in the gym" is to lift those weights! It sounds like you are way beyond the high school mentality, so ignore those who still think and gossip that way, get in there, and do what needs to be done. I'm willing to bet after your first few workouts, you'll forget about what others may or may not be thinking. Particularly if you're confident about what to do, that will show through, even if you're not lifting as much weight as you'd like to right now. Anybody who judges you by how many plates are on your weight stack is not worth paying attention to... so don't let them intimidate you! You're bigger than that, right? Right. Go knock 'em dead!
