I turned 50 in May of 2017. I'm a wife and mother of two adult children. (At the moment they are our roommates.) We have 2 dogs, one middle-aged, the other a pup. I adore animals. I live in NC! (That's exciting because we used to live in MN and wanted to flee the winters forever. Done.)
I'm an occasional 'Zombies, Run' walker/runner, I use a FitBit tracker every day, and I want to start and MAINTAIN an Essentrics practice. I would like to lose weight, but my primary goal is to feel better.

UPDATE: September 2017:
I would like to lose about 30 pounds. It's most important to me to feel generally healthy and energetic. I write and work on the computer a lot, and need to move more. My stretch goal is to be able to run again - the way I did when I was a kid: with a sense of joy of freedom.
My Program:
My Goals:
1. Move daily. ((Essentrics, Zombies, Run!, walking, etc.)
2. Get my average daily steps up into the 8,000 steps per day range ... with no days under 5,000.
3. Being productive in my chosen field improves my mood and attitude immensely. For that reason, I want to write on my blog and/or my novels EVERY DAY.
4. Looking good also improves my ability to function well. For that reason, I want to stay on top of a good hygiene and beauty routine. That means being clean, being well-dressed for the situation, wearing a little (or a lot) of makeup, and being accessorized with cool, distinctive "stuff".
Current numbers:
goal weight - 180
exercise in minutes - 210 weekly (30 minutes a day)

I am an IOWL fan and one aspect of that is to create and use thoughtfully designed intention statements.
I intend to:
--move often and take opportunities to be outside more.
--build paranormal sanctuaries for those who feel lost & out of place in the "normal" world.
--nurture my inner strength & energy so I may more easily share my soul's gifts.
--cherish and explore the sensual pleasures available to me in each present moment.
--Honor and respect the generous nature of the universe and enjoy a life of prosperity and abundance.
--easily and skillfully finish one novel after another.
--accept and use my natural ability to be in flow.
--live a life of kindness, compassion, creativity & beauty, with intention and grace.
--easily and naturally become healthier firmer, and fitter every day.
--fearlessly express my beauty & individuality through authentic and distinctive style choices.
