Time to quit floating through life and take control, be responsible for my choices and live intentionally. Starting with keeping my diabetes in control at all times and taking off added weight (which ultimately will help to maintain my blood sugars). Wouldn't it be incredible to shed enough weight that I could one day be able to take fewer pills. I want to live healthier, live longer to watch my grandchildren grow, and I want to set a healthier example for my grandchildren.

My Goals:
Control my Blood Sugars, lose 80 lbs.


My Program:
Accountability! PORTION CONTROL!Keeping a journal of what I eat, my blood sugars, working out with my grand-daughter to Richard Simmons Sweatin' To the Oldies, drinking water, water, water.
I'm getting back to the things I know work for me and I've just gotten away from. Like something as simple as drinking lots of water each day. How could I have forgotten that. It's so easy! Moving-I used to love moving to Richard Simmons videos and it just hit me HELLO get them on DVDs and get movin' again. My 3 year old grand-daughter is having a blast doing them with me and it's good training for her for future dance lessons. And also keeps her active. I see getting me on track a WIN, WIN! Win for me and win for the example and life lessons my grandchildren can learn from my example. Journally everything I do, eat etc. Once again I know from past experience when I write it down it keeps me on track. I think twice before I eat something, I remember to drink my water, to do my daily



Personal Information:
I'm a NaNa of 2. Chelsea 3 and Cameron (Pete) 9 mos. I take being a NaNa as a serious job and honor. I want to be here to be a positive influence in their lives spiritually, healthwise and emotionally.


Other Information:
I LOVE good food. I enjoy cooking. Unfortunately, all those yummy things I love to eat are oh so not good for me. Well not good if you eat too much. PORTION CONTROL! I believe you can eat anything but you HAVE to control the portion sizes. Somewhere we've been fooled to think that we're only eating 1 serving of something and in reality it is equal to several servings. You go out to eat and they set this wonderful food in front of you and it's actually equivelant to 3-4 servings. Re-training the mind DO NOT CLEAN YOUR PLATE!
