Having finally hit a weight-loss mark of 120 pounds at Weight Watchers, I've decided to declare 162 as my goal and stop -- for a while. I'm still planning to get down to 140 eventually, but I really needed to stop paying $40 a month at WW. I can't begin to express what a pleasure it has been to change to maintenance. Losing has been so slow and difficult for the past couple of years, as I had less and less to lose. Since hitting Lifetime status on August 3, I've lost 6 pounds.

I don't want to grow old in a painful, unhealthy body! I want to go interesting places and do fun things with my wonderful husband. I want to be healthy when I retire, so I can enjoy everything I'm working for!!

I have become mostly vegetarian in the past couple of years. I hit the gym 2-3 evenings a week, and most Saturdays. I walk 2 miles during lunch most days. I dance whenever I get the chance.

I live in Salinas, CA. I'm a 54-year old accountant, with no children, no pets and one husband.

For almost as long as I could remember, I wanted to learn how to dance. In July 2006, as a reward for losing 60 pounds, I signed us up for ballroom dance lessons. We enjoy it so much, we turned one bedroom in our house into a private dance studio, and use it frequently.
