I am having to make major changes to my lifestyle in the physical aspect. I won't be the same again, but I can get as close to what I used to have. The fight is on!

October 2013-Present: dealing with a severe back injury and still recovering.

2012:
- I graduated college with my Pre-Nursing Degree
- I passed my CPAT with a time of 9:36 on 8/13/2012, I was accepted into the FEST program at the local community college, I had to pull out 4 weeks into academy in 9/2012, I am re-applying in 2013, with the goal of NOT having to pull out and becoming a Firefighter.
-I climbed 112 Flights of stairs on 9/11/12 in 2 1/2 hours in honor of 343 Fallen Firefighters of 9/11/01
-I hit 104 burpees in 6:44 9/27/2012
- I ran Tough Mudder Seattle in about 5 hours with a sprained ankle on 9/30/12.
- I've learned how to deal with my complex PTSD, and cut 22 year old ties holding me back from full recovery.

Thanks for checking in and for the goodie! TacFit is still going great - movement on the scale is slow but I can definitely tell I am tightening up all over. My form on the leg swoops is improving, and that makes me happy. I've only been following the low intensity days videos intermittently, as I've been doing a lot of running too.

How's everything with you? Hope life is treating you good and that your shoulder is feeling better...

    Have a great week!!

    YAY - YAY - YAY - YAY - YAY !!!!!

I ***KNEW*** you would get in !! CONGRATULATIONS ! On passing your exam and the interview! When do you start at the academy?!?

I'm doing great. Food and fitness have been good. I wish the scale was going down, but I'm ok about it because I know I'm losing fat% and inches, which is the important thing. I'm still doing TacFit firefighter. I need to spend some more time poking around their web-site because I'm not always sure if I have the right form for some of the moves. For example, when doing the ellipse, I really feel the burn in my thighs just above the knee, but I have no idea if this is where I am supposed to be feeling it. I am also determined to improve my form on the leg swoops. The spinal rocks gave me big painful bruises on my back along my spine (done on carpet!), and I don't need any back problems, so I swapped those out for the sit up move with the lat pull weights. I'm also still doing the planks challenge, but am not making such big jumps in times. Only doing ~ 2 minutes right now.

You are looking awesome - keep up the great work, keep posting the great picture and video blogs, and let me know all the awesome details from school!

    Happy New Year!!!

Question for you on planks. What is more difficult...on elbows or arms extended. I get mixed answers on the web. Both feel about the same to me. Found a site I like:

    http://military-fitness.military.com/201
    1/08/ten-plank-variations-for-perfect-
    toning.html

I did my plank yesterday:) Otherwise the plan is an Insanity/Brazil Butt Lift hybrid, dreadmill and zumba. Took a break from ST, but miss it. Plus I just told a SF that I would do 200 squats a day for this month. Ugh. Really am thinking about getting back to basics:)

Off to get a workout in and plank! Will catch up on your blogs later:)

Hi!! Well, I started TacFit FF today - I love everything I see in the program. I'm going to modify the rotation somewhat to fit my schedule and also to accommodate my 5k training, as I have some time goals there I want to meet in 2013. Anyway, day one moderate felt great - squat = proby, ellipse = recruit (this one was a challenge), spinal rock = proby (liked this one), leg swoops = recruit (this one was also tough), plank & rolling plank = firefighter (thank you Jillian Michaels!)

Anyway, I'm very excited about it - thanks for introducing me to the program. Hope you are doing great!!
