Update 4/23/11:
I want to get back into this... I don't know if it'll be full-force or not, but I want to get healthy again. I've been too lazy for too long!

Update Feb 5, 2009: WELL all, I am pregnant!!! I am in my 7th week right now and will not be dieting to lose weight or working out to lose weight at this point. ;) I am around 128 lbs as of right now, so I haven't gained all sorts crazy weight even though only carbs sound appetizing to me in this stage!
I'm still going to stick around though because I love the food ideas and exercise advice on here! :)

December, 2008:
I'm resetting my goal to 125! I'm going to try and make it by my birthday next month, but realize that it might take longer than that....so if it happens by Valentine's, I'll be happy!!

Update 12/24/08: Well as you can probably see from my progress on the weight loss, getting to my goal took a bit longer! That would totally be because it's the holidays!!!!!!! BUT if my current weight holds true, I'm at goal!!!! I think I'm going to set a new goal in a few days...let's get through Christmas first! :)

Update 11/26/08: I'm a little over 3/4 of the way to my goal!! I've lost 17 pounds and feel really great about that! I am planning on participating in a 5K run on my birthday in 2 months, so I better get started training!
My wonderful husband is getting me an ipod shuffle and some new running shoes as an early Christmas present to help with my training! :) I am really excited to see how running will change my body and to see how well I do! I have a feeling that if I make it to the 5k on my birthday, I won't want to stop there..... :)

Update 10/30/08: I'm .2 lb away from being HALFWAY to my goal! In a MONTH! I've lost quite a few inches...I didn't measure until I was almost 3 weeks into this journey, so I'm not sure how much I've lost total, but from just the short time I've been measuring, it's been a nice chunk!! :) I love doing Tae Bo (MY FAV!!!) and Walk Away the Pounds!

Starting date: 9/30/08:
I am not overly unhappy with myself, although I do admit that I certainly have at least 20 or more pounds to lose! What I am really seeking is motivation to keep myself healthy and maybe be able to feel my muscles again! :) I want my family to be healthier, too! I've found in the past that being healthy is actually a LOT cheaper!

Not only in health care costs (of course!), but the food is healthier and cheaper when I'm cooking at home instead of eating out all the time! :)

My Program:
I want to start working out regularly again. Eat healthier. Track more..

Trying to stay in my calorie range and not completely giving up the foods that I love!

I'm getting more active - when I don't feel like working out, I watch Leslie Sansone's Youtube videos of her MiniWalks (2 and 3 minutes each) ... those usually inspire me to do more for the day!

I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with Tae Bo and it's almost always my exercise of choice..

Also, and as nerdy as it is, I'm trying to use my hubby's Wii Fit to get some exercise in! Now that I've unlocked some better stuff, I can get a real workout. lol

I'm from Texas - mom to 3.... Homeschooling, VBACing (homebirthing), breastfeeding, non-vaxxing, etc etc mom. :) I'm a massage therapist, doula, and childbirth educator as well.

    Oh no I wish I was a stay at home mom! Life would be much easier the hardest thing to do is work all day and still have the motivation to workout after work! Ugh! I wish the midland odessa team was more active I'd love to get together with everyone and go walk together or something get as support sytem built up!

    Sorry I haven't been responding much lately, my job was ending so there was little time to be online with everything I had going on. Now that I am home, I have plenty of time to actually get on spark and keep up with everything. Luckily enough, I didn't get off track so still doing ok. How have you been?
