Hi everybody! I'm Kim, or the Dj Chick, whichever you like. I'm one of the real success stories on this site. Since Jan 1, 2006 I have gone from 243 to 162 (8/14/08). Total I have lost just under 90 lbs! I gained some weight after my shoulder surgery and am now 180 (grrr!) But I'm just 30 lbs away from my big goal of 150.

So you're wondering, who are you? I'm a comedienne of sorts, always making people laugh. I am also a big believer in Dale Carnegie principles, being positive and I'm active in the Jaycees.

I moved to Lindale, Texas at the end of October and I really like it here. I live with my parents and brother (who's 23) for now, while I get used to the area and get myself 'established.' It's actually really great to be home. Although a little tough to be 26 living at home.

Just graduated from my shoulder physical therapy program-YAY! I'm working out MWF mornings at 5:30AM and I LOVE the Morning Mix. A great way to get great cardio and really pump you up for the day. Yeah, it's early, but SO worth it!

I'm single again, but it's keeping me on track to lose weight and strengthen myself! I'm joining a challenge on SHAPE magazine's website to get myself running again. I've been walking a lot, just need to amp it up!

If you want to you know anything or ask anything, I am totally open.

Keep on keepin on- the holidays approacheth. Yikes!

Fitness Minutes: 580

My Goals:
1) Lose weight (Starting weight 243, goal 150.)

2) Eat a variety of food that I have never tried before, new veggies and meat substitutes too (even though I am a carnivore.) I eat the same thing all the time- time for a change.

3) begin Couch to 5K on Jan 1, 2009

4) Drink more water

5) Make new friends with similar goals to help me succeed

My Program:
Drink 8 glasses of water.

Make better food choices - plan ahead so I'm not eating on the run so much!

Keep track of what I eat

Substitute healthier choices for the bad ones

Personal Information:
Well I just turned 26 in July and nothing has made me happier than seeing the progress I have made in the last 2.5 years - not just in my body, but in my career and life as well. One big thing - I NEVER would be where I am in I had not began losing weight.

Other Information:
I am going at it in little steps, so you'll only see one goal at a time on my signature. I think that way I can set my sights on little acheivements- that really motivates me, seeing progress and success. Smaller goals=more success!
