I was on SP several years ago and lost 60 lbs. Awesome, right? I was running 3 miles six times a week, weight training 3 days a week and was in fantastic shape. Then I quit smoking (yep was running and smoking), had to stop running due to a really bad bunion and I got depressed. Had bunion surgery and foot is worse than ever. Fibromyalgia likes to bat me around. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a bummer, spinal stenosis too. I gained 60 lbs in the past five years. My blood pressure has risen, I feel like crap.

I could go crawl into a hole or I could actively try and change my lot. I choose change! I did it once, I can do it again. This time running and weight lifting may be out but eating healthy and gentler activities like swimming and yoga will help tone me and raise my fitness level.

I love knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving as well as wet felting. I started knitting 10 years ago (when I quit smoking) and have never looked back.
