This is it.....time is running out.
I will not fail this time! I am very focused and ready to make this a permanent way of life. I am NOT on a diet and I will never have to diet again. Join me on this journey.....It will be a long one but worth it!

There is much to be gained (not weight, lol) on this journey.......freedom, health, confidence, happy times, pride, new friends, memories, stronger bones, muscle, ankles, wrist and neck bones, new clothes (w/o going to special stores), fitting on a rollercoaster ride (ok fat or thin I'm to scared) and other things I'm sure I'll discover along the way.

6/19/09 I need to get very serious and stop my constant starting over tomorrow. If I am going to have weight loss surgery....I must be in the best shape possible before my surgery. All required paperwork should be with my Dr. now and ready to submit to my insurance co. to try for approval !!

8/24/09 Insurance Co came back after first submitted requirements and asked for the following: H-Pylori and Tsh blood test. Cardio and Pulmonary clearance. I have completed all and now just waiting to hear on final approval.

September 18,2009: Gastric Sleeve Surgery

9/21/09: Lost 8 lbs since morning of surgery
10/16/09: Lost 20.5 lbs
11/13/09: Lost 28 lbs

THANK GOD EVERYDAY THAT I HAVE THE OPORTUNITY TO GET HEALTHY AND A GREAT SUPPORT SYSTEM TO HELP ME REACH MY GOALS

My Goals:
9/18/09: Gastric Sleeve Surgery

12/18/09: 3mo post op-would like to have lost 35 lbs from surgery (50 lbs since 6/08) _________________

My original goals were not met. I lost 46 lbs from 6/08-12/08. I told myself that this would be the last time I would try to lose weight on my own and if I didn't succeed it was time to consider WLS. I spent the winter/spring of 09 gaining 23 lbs back and deciding it was time to consider weight loss surgery before I killed myself with all my weight issues.



My Program:
I started 6/17/08 on my new lifestyle. I decided I was just not going to eat any white bread, potatoes, rice etc. I have also cut out all sugar drinks & limit myself to very little sugar in foods. I am picking healthy items as well, but am eating large enough portions to keep me satisfied. So far..So Good. (ooops...not so good going for surgery then will get back to this way of thinking)



Personal Information:
I have been overweight all my life, although not as heavy as I am now. I am trying to change my lifestyle so the rest of my life can be fulfilling and productive. I am 43 yrs old and see how weight is hindering my health.


Other Information:
I rely on my faith in God to help me thru this life and this journey.

My favorite thing to do is gardening. I can get lost in a whole day of working in my garden. (Good excersie too !!)

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat whom I treasure and are always in need of attention.

I have very strong family support with 3 older sisters that live close by. My Dad-(I admire and adore him)

    How's it going? I'm doing great, but Joel's been sick this week. He has spring break, but he hasn't been enjoying it so far!

    I'm going to call you because, here I go again, I have to change my weigh-in to Friday. Frank's flight gets in around 12:00 am Friday/Saturday, and it's coming in what is supposed to be bad weather, so I'm hoping it's on time. I'm not sure when I'll get to bed, so I'm not likely to be at WW at 8am! Forgive me, please!
