Well - I'm back. Again. I had accidentally found Spark People and didn't utilize my page for nearly two years after I found it. With much success I was able to lose fat, trim down considerably and the next thing you know I got ALL big headed and t he weight returned. SO - fast-forward 2 years later and I'm back to where I started. I'm putting to use my old weapons of weight destroyers such as tracking tools such as SP and a journal. My gym membership and a personal trainer. Now at 44 years old, I want to be fit and trim by the time my 45th birthday rolls around in September 2018. And I'm gonna do it. Again.

My Goals:
My ultimate long-term goal is to have a SUSTAINABLE weight loss.

I need to finish what I started. Period.

My Program:
-Work out 4-6 days a week.
-Strength train 3 times a


-Only weigh myself once a week or only once a month. Use clothes as more of a gauge to see if I've lost INCHES.

-Remember that weight loss is a process.

-Mix it up! Try new ways of working out!

-Don't become frustrated with myself if I don't see instant results.

-Remember first and foremost: THIS IS A LIFESTYLE, NOT A PASSING PHASE.


Personal Information:
- Interior designer for 23 years.
- Never had a favorite color.
-Favorite emotion: Laughing so hard until you cry and almost pee your pants.
- Deathly allergic to cats.

- I'm a goofball and find a way to laugh at just about everything. (Except when people fall...that's just not funny.)

-Fluent in Sarcasm.

-I've got a mean right hook and a pretty wicked jump shot.

-Ex Nu-Yawka.

-You're not completely dressed unless you're wearing earrings, lip-gloss and a smile!

Other Information:
I've never worn a bikini.
And I want to just to say I did. So there!

Weird things about me:
1. I don't trust everyone's potato salad.

2. I ALWAYS carry a toothbrush and toothpaste. (And a spare for a friend, just in case.)

3. I can't write with pencils.

4. I don't like the way newspaper feels.

5. I finally got a Face Book account.

6. When I'm really upset I switch between speaking English and Spanish.

7. I get bored easily and have the attention span of a gnat.

    I loved what you wrote on a thread about "seeing what Im made of" !
    Its exactly how I feel too!
    In my life I've never been the correct weight by any "standard". This is the first time I made up my mind to get going and keep going,no matter what,no matter how long, just so I can know for ONCE what it feels like to be at a healthy weight.
    You're going to succeed so keep going, no matter what !

    My secret is no secret really. Make a commitment to do it and stick to it. Take baby steps and build a new life of being healthy that you can and will do for the rest of your life. If you find yourself doing something you know is only short term then really why do it? I'm not saying you have to do the exact same thing for the rest of your life but some form of it as you adjust and grow into your new life. Eating breakfast and loving yourself no matter what your weight or anything is HUGE.

    My exercising for losing was just walking it off. That after I lost the weight turned into running. Now it is running and other cardio mixed together. Plus about 2 years ago i added in weight training. Finding the balance in this and your entire life is not easy and is a constant change. Life is change so why fight it when you can go with it and be healthy and happy.
