I am Trisha! I've been sparking since 2010. This past year I regained every pound I had lost. I have done some soul-searching trying to find happiness and lasting results.

I have been reading "The Law of Happiness" by Dr. Henry Cloud.

Only 10% of a person's happiness depends on circumstances. (I will be happy when I am richer, thinner, married, etc).

50% of a person's happiness has to do with a person's genetic makeup and temperament.

The remaining 40% comes from factors we can control: our thoughts and actions.

It's easy to focus on the 10% of our circumstances and say, "I will be happy when . . ." We need to learn to focus on the 40% in our control and create our happiness now.

I live in Steamboat Springs, Colorado! We're a small (10-15 thousand) mountain town and ski area in northwest Colorado, about 90 minutes from Vail. Since we're far from any urban area and surrounded by national forest and wilderness areas, we get all kinds of wild animals and beautiful scenery. It's one of the reasons I try to post photos daily - it helps me be mindful of all the beauty I'm surrounded by every day!
