Luckily weight is something that we can all change! My weight loss journey started when I was young. I remember being in the 8th grade and running and using Jane Fonda workout videos (yes, the ones with lots of head bands and ankle warmers) to lose weight. In high school I ran track and cross country and didn't have weight issues again until college where each year I steadily gained weight.

Before graduating from undergrad I decided I needed to lose weight if I was going to be a dietitian. I couldn't imagine telling people to lose weight if I was overweight myself! I was also getting married so that was a huge motivator! I married a soldier in the Army (hooah, he is also from Poland, hence my SP username) and I gained weight when I started to eat like my husband. Then I would lose all the weight during year long deployments. After his last deployment we decided to try and have a baby so my journey was interrupted momentarily while I was pregnant. In November 2010 I delivered a healthy baby girl, Ella, and now my weight loss journey continues.

SP has helped me to become a healthier person. I have learned that making mistakes doesn't ruin everything you have started but instead makes you stronger and smarter. It's the small daily choices that we make that determine whether or not we meet our goals. I have also learned that weight loss takes way more time than I envisioned but patience and perseverance will help me to prevail! I know that 2011 will be the year I reach my goal weight for good! I can't wait to say that I am on my weight maintenance journey! Who's with me?!

Update: I made my goal weight in May 2012! It's amazing to feel so light again. Running is easier and all of my old clothes fit, some are even too big! Most important is that I feel healthy, have energy and am happy. Now is the hardest part of weight loss, maintenance.

    So I did 30 minutes ellipitical and 30 minutes run/walk on Saturday; 15 minutes of weights and 45 minutes ellipitcal and 15 minutes stationary on Sunday. Waiting to hear from you.

    Okay, cool. Let's start off easy, 60 minutes of cardio Saturday and Sunday, and at least 30 minutes of weights on either day. I'll check with you on Monday to see how you did.

    How are you? I'm fat, real fat. I have never been this big. Turning 50, getting old, did me in, but I'm back. How's the baby? Not so much a baby anymore, huh? I'm ready for our weekend challanges. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you for stopping by my page and asking where I went! It's been rolling around in my had since you wrote it and i think I'm to the point where I'm ready to come back! I've been focusing on just living life and hadn't been using spark... I have also lost 0 pounds and have gained inches since then...Hmm, I wonder how that happened?? lol
    I've stayed in the same 3 pound range for the last 6 months and have exercised sometimes a lot and sometimes a little. I'm always conscious of what's going into my body, but I don't always make the best choices.
    I'm starting school again this week in one online class and then this fall in more and suddenly I feel motivated to do something consistent and actually make progress in this area of my life as well. :) So how has it been for you?
