I'm 34, living in Alaska. I'm passionate about sports, the New York Yankees, all forms of art (specifically fashion and journalism), being the best dog mom I can be and being a "proud and out" progressive Democrat. I love alternative/punk/heavy metal music, reading all genres of literature (specifically historical fiction and non-fiction) and doing crafty/artsy projects in my spare time.

I'm trying to lose at least 45 pounds that I regained after medication side effects and an exercise accident that led to 3 herniated discs in my lower back. I'd love to eventually train for a 5K or even a half-marathon one day.

My favorite fitness activities are the elliptical and swimming for cardio. I love pilates and ballet for a mix of cardio/strength training/flexibility and yoga for relaxation/stretching/meditation, etc.

My Goals:
My goals include losing 45+ pounds, improving my overall health, transitioning to a fully vegan diet, as well as decreasing my sugar and carb intake while upping my protein intake. Perhaps even train for a 5K or a half-marathon one day.
