Introduction Text I'm a 37 year old single mom from northern NJ, living in DE. I recently graduated from culinary school with a diploma in Pastry, am starting up my own custom cake business, and am ready to get back on track to a healthier life for me and my daughter. I had really lost my way in trying to get healthy... staying motivated is my biggest challenge. But in September of 2009 my mother died at the all-too-young age of 63, and that seemed to be motivation enough at that time, but the motivation didn't last. I've had quite a few bumps in the road since then, but I am determined to not quit this time, as I have in the past, but I struggle so much I just love any motivation I can muster.

I don't have a specific end-goal yet. Right now I just want to get under 200 pounds. I'll reassess and figure out the finish line at that point.

I was a Weight Watchers "repeat offender" for many years... going it on my own at the moment. I'm determined to make a new lifestyle, not a diet, improving my physical activity. Every day is a struggle.
