Decided to update the front page today because I realize that I am and ever changing being. For that I am grateful. My last update was written when I started Hot Yoga, the first exercise that I love, and I like power yoga, not the stereotypical yoga. I love to sweat. I have been doing it for over two years now. I lost weight at first and then put it back on. Why did I put it back on? I put it back on because I ate a lot of food.

My approach today is based on recovery but it is more difficult that recovery from drugs and alcohol. I can't quit food and when there is a pizza around it is easy to rationalize and justify over eating.

I am at a good weight today, being that I am that gal who is always wanting more I would like to see about 8 pounds go but if I were to stay here where I am forever I would be OK. I really want the weight to stay off. I have recently lost about 17 pounds.

I exercise religiously, I had to add something to yoga and for now it is boot camp workouts. I broke my foot and the boot camp trainer took me on and modified his student's routine to give me a one legged killer workout so I got lucky there.

I have been through some serious phases in healthy life style changes. I am 51 years old and for me that has come with some serious self reflections. A shift from wanting to be hot to wanting to be healthy. It is not as easy as it sounds.

I want to keep changing in positive ways, ride the waves of life and handle them without crutches that harm my body. I stay here for support, recovery and information that keeps me going.
